Indian food is the most seductive and delectable I have ever tasted. It is wonderful to know that I can enjoy those flavors even though I am now prediabetic. I am a fairly new subscriber and will have fun poking around your videos and choosing some to make. Shukriya, Sonal.

Good luck to you. In indian food breads are the tricky part else the meats and veggie recipes rarely have toomany carbs

@@SonalsFood Thank you for your reply, Sonal! I will miss the dal and chana masala and besan in onion pakoras, though. *sigh* But I will be happy to enjoy some lovely flavors in your recipes. Your almond halwa looks so good! I'm a Buddhist, but I am very drawn to Diwali celebrations, and will prepare some then.

Oh that's a tough one. Cauliflower rice is one idea but well we all know how different it is. It does help in eating the curries though.

Hi Sonali. Love your video ❤. What flour do you suggest is the best tasting to make simple keto chappatis at home?
@SonalsFood9 ай бұрын
Taste wise almond flour is tastier but I find it easier to make coconut flour rotis.

Hi Sonal, great recipe... How do you keep your cast iron pan so nice and slick, mine always gets build up on the sides.
@SonalsFood2 жыл бұрын
Oh. I am not sure. Maybe you can try using a steel wool to scrub it. I don't use much soap unless I have fried something pungent. And then oil after the wash.

Thank you Sonal. I was looking for replacement of wheat. One quick question, can I store these in a fridge for a week? I don't have time to make it every day. I'll cook and store

Why not mix all of the ingredients while making dough?

You can add vital wheat gluten for gluten and less psyllium husk. Low carb. Dont know if you can get it in your country
@SonalsFood2 жыл бұрын
Yes I do get it. But a lot of people want to avoid gluten so I try not to share recipes with gluten.

I made these today. They were awesome. I managed to make six altogether. They were amazing, tasted so nice. I took a picture but don't know how to add the picture. Any way would love to know how much carbs in one rotti/parantha. Thank you. 😊
@SonalsFood3 жыл бұрын
The size that I make it is about 1 or 2 net carbs. So happy to hear that you liked it. You can add pictures by tagging me on instagrams etc.

Sonal why didn't you add chilli powder, garlic (maybe paste or garlic powder), kothimbir and sufficient salt in the dough itself and roll the roti/paratha- like tikhat mithacha paratha? Does this make a difference in texture or taste? Plz revert.
@SonalsFood3 жыл бұрын
It is similar to tikhat mitha ha paratha but when the flavours are added in the end it has a different kick. They warm up with the fat and have a punch. Just another idea I wanted to share.

if we want to make rice roti in non keto with xanthum gum? can we make with this ratio
@SonalsFood4 жыл бұрын
Yes. I wud think so. But try putting rice flour in boiled water. Then mix and let it sit. After it cools down you can roll. You don't need xanthan gum.

How many rotis we take in a day
@SonalsFood2 жыл бұрын
A keto roti is anywhere from 1 to 3 net carbs. You can take 1 or 2 depending on your macros.

68.7 grams of carbohydrate per 100 grams of coconut flour and you used 128 g of coconut flour ... There is no KETO in this recipe but looks delicious.
@SonalsFood4 жыл бұрын
I hope you are subtracting the Fibre to get net carbs. This dough gives about 12 rotis depending on the size it is 1 or 2 net carbs each.

Hi Sonal, love all the keto recipes u have in your channel. I had a question, can u substitute flaxseed meal instead of psyllium husk and what will be the ratio? Please let me know… thanks in advance
@SonalsFood3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. You can substitute it because it isn't as sticky. But you can make a roti from flax meal only. I have a recipe you can refer to on the channel.
