Keto Ice Cream Chaffle Bowls & Sandwiches - Have You Tried Them?

What's the next big thing for chaffles? Chaffle bowls!!! Check out my recipe for Keto chocolate chaffle bowls and chaffles for ice cream. The bowls are of course, to be used as a bowl for your delicious Keto ice cream - store bought or homemade (let us know if you'd like us to make a video for our homemade ice cream, it's sooooo good). And the chaffles are perfect for a sweet Keto ice cream sandwich treat! You'll be doing a happy dance like I did once you try these recipes.

Now for the chocolate recipe:
1 egg
2 oz. cream cheese
2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp powdered erythritol
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
Chaffle bowl - spray with oil of choice, and pour 1/3 of a cup (about half the batter) in the maker and close the lid. Let cook for three minutes, do not let it go longer or it will burn. Using a silicone spatula, gently release the sides and slide under the chaffle bowl to get it out (be careful because it will be hot). Flip it over on a ramekin or cup to cool so it retains its shape. You should be able to make two chaffle bowls.
Macros (approximate) per chaffle bowl: Cal - 144 | Fat - 10.2 | Tot Carbs - 2.6 | Fiber - 1 | Net carbs - 1.6 | Protein - 7.25
Chaffles - pour slowly into the chaffle maker until almost all of the iron is covered. Use your spatula to gently spread it around as needed to cover all of the iron. Close and let cook for 3-5 minutes before removing. Makes 3 chaffles.
Macros (approximate) per chaffle bowl: Cal - 96 | Fat - 7 | Tot Carbs - 2 | Fiber - 1 | Net carbs - 1 | Protein - 5
To assemble the chaffle ice cream sandwich, let your ice cream thaw for 15-20 minutes. Then scoop the ice cream out; take it out of the pint and cut a slice; or if you made homemade ice cream, use a round cookie cutter to cut the perfect sized slice of ice cream. You'll put this in between two chaffles, then wrap in plastic wrap and put back in the freezer for about 15 minutes so they can set up together. Take out of the freezer, wait about 5-10 minutes, and enjoy!
Greg's Keto Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe (Dairy Free):
2 cups full fat coconut milk (we use Thai Kitchen Organic amzn.to/2ZevYLm )
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup erythritol
1/8 tsp salt
Follow instructions on your ice cream maker - makes two pints.
Macros (approximate) per pint: Cal - 360 | Fat - 31 | Tot Carbs - 6 | Fiber - 0 | Net carbs - 6 | Protein - 1.5

Hi Jennifer, to get 2 cups; we use 1 can and about 1/3 cup of heavy cream when we are lazy but you can use just a little over one can for the 2 cups and it’s the full fat coconut milk with the fat on top. Break it all down in a bowl and mix, find it helps if you use a fork to mix. Working on a video.

I’ve been eating the heck out of Chaffle’s or Kego’s as Erin calls them , this week. I pretty much made the chocolate one for dinner with my fluff dessert but I add a Tbsp of almond flour and Tbsp of chopped pecans. I’m so full today from adding these in my diet , and because I’m off work, and I only ate twice. ❤️🧚🏻‍♀️

We had the rebel coffee chip on display as a potential option but since we didn’t use it to create the bowl or sandwich we felt it best to leave it “unmentioned” we just received the new ones as well and can’t wait to try them. Which one are you most excited for? I understand that the bowl maker suggests using 1/2 cup of “batter” as the ideal amount but we all know cheese and flour respond differently to heat “especially when pressed” which is why we had to experiment with the correct amounts to get the perfect bowl. If you prefer under sized bowls, using 1/2 cup is a great option. We love Sawalls and we’re just there today, they had Zevia on sale as well. Have a great day and thanks for your tips!

Yes, we put the other half back in the freezer in a plastic, freezer safe container. It freezes rock hard, so it’s like any other Keto ice cream that you have to let sit out for a bit. We’ll work on filming some savory bowls, we’ve already done a couple of experiments. 😉

Pass. ** Update ** I went to the Dash website, and found it on sale for $19.99 (plus $7.99 shipping). So I will get one after all. I think it will be a good complement to the dual Dash Mini Maker Grill, Griddle + Waffle Iron, that I've been having so much fun with.

We’ve done it both ways, and we use the lazy method more, big tip here is making sure your mixture is made up ahead of time and stored in the fridge overnight or freezer for a few hours.

Kzoo Keto ugh, froze the mixture overnight and the freezer bowl thing and it never hardened to be able to cut. Think I’ll return it! Got my Keto Enlightened ice cream in yesterday and it’s the best ice cream I’ve tasted so far but, I love vanilla😢

Sorry about that, our mic is really sensitive and picks it up every time. Usually, it's not as noticeable unless listening through headphones or earbuds. And unfortunately, once the video is out there, there's no way to edit. 🤷🏻‍♀️(I bet all the mukbang fans love it though, LOL!) Super excited for your chaffle adventure, and would love to know what you think of the recie once you try it! @@KzooKeto what is ur Keto Dash Ice Cream recipe? Ur 'go to' recipe. I made the Dash recipe from the book and used sugar substitute. Not the best. I tried using vanilla but ended up using a SF vanilla coffee flavoring. The texture was odd. I don't know if it was the hwc or what.

We actually use the recipe in this video most often. But we tend to like the coconut milk for it better than the hwc (which does give it a creamier texture). To flavor it, we’ll put in cocoa powder, peanut butter powder, or any variety of extracts (cake batter extract is amazing). Sadly, we haven’t branches out yet from this recipe too much....you know what they say, if it ain’t broke...😉😆

I don’t understand people trading one bad habit for another. You go on a diet to not eat poorly. I changed my lifestyle 22 months ago. No replacements. Just clean eating. It’s rare when I make a keto dessert. that being said, If it gets you through a craving go for it. Just get rid of snacking!!!! Period. I had a potato chip addiction. Gone. Not 1 chip. Or replacement of chip!!

I gotta give you a thumbs down. No Keto ice cream. I read up on your machine 3/4 cup of sugar? Milk...cream...However if I was just going to eat ice cream, this looks fantastic. I’d have a can of Rediwhip and some Hersey chocolate syrup! Now THATS a meal ...and I’d use Ben & Jerry’s Peanut butter Cup ..over 120 carbs 100 gms sugar ...no wonder I got fat. I’m in my second month. First month I lost 10 lbs...only 90 more to go.....then I’m getting a pint of Ben& Jerry’s
