This is a fantastic exercise if you're into kayaking. I was doing these all winter and jumped into a kayak in summer, I couldn't understand why my power and endurance had markedly increased and then it clicked - halos.

Excellent again. Just like the one from last year. I do 10 of the alternating halos every day. Is that good or should I be doing the 5 + 5?

I like after the warm up halos, going again in that back position and doing a 1 Arm Trizeps stretch. Great stretch...especially for Rom for presses and verticalizing the upper arm later

Today at the basketball court when I needed a breather I used the basketball to do 20 reps of Halos in each direction. I did that a few times over the course of the shootarond. It felt really good with the light weight, open hand, rhomboid squeeze, and wide hand spacing.

Can someone please tell me the weight for this? I've been using my 24kg kettle bell but I've been told to use lightweights. But this guy say five reps which makes me think heavy weight. Any advice welcome.

Great location @Mark ! After a year I finally figured out how to do halos properly last week and man do you feel your core if you do it correctly. Do you do scouting ahead of time for your shoots ? Do you need permission or do you just ninja it 🥷?

Question about building shoulder strength in compromised positions (i.e. taking clothes off, reaching behind the back to pick something up). Would an extended 1h club shield cast/gamma cast i.e. "around the body" where arm comes reaches straight to opposite hip level and goes all around the body of be a good exercise for that? Would it follow the same logic and nerd math as the halo where it can be done for mobility or muscle strength? It feels like it trains the extended ranges of motion that the heavy club shield/gamma cast don't reach?

Genius. Fries the core when done correctly. This is controversial, but, in my opinion, if you combine this with alternating lunges you have the ultimate exercise: you know, the exercise that you should keep if you could do no other.
