Tabletop? I'll stick with Pavel as the authority on the right way to swing a KB kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3zUqZZ6ns-Cr6M and kzbin.info/www/bejne/ombUc2OkfrGjodEm24s I wish writers/bloggers would stop inserting arbitrary 'rules' based on theory to 'fix' a sound, natural movement. Also, squat swings are simply a variant, not outright 'wrong' or bad for a person. Fact check, fellow KZbinrs.

This video teaches INCORRECT FORM. Please refer to Steve Cotter, the dean of kb, for correct technique. 1) You should never ever reach the "table top position" that BJ talks about. 2) Lift from the ground from a squat position, not the way BJ does it. 3) Hollow body is incorrect because the rounding of the shoulder screws up the kinetic chain as you go into the dip and your upper body will be pulled too hard down, stressing the lower back. I'm afraid guys will get injured from following anything instructed in this video. Sorry, BJ, just want to makes sure nobody gets hurt. You should really ask Men's Health to remove this video.

I dont get it. Do you push your arms with your hips or you should also use your arms to swing it. And also, where should I feel the burn at?
@davidk55855 жыл бұрын
Think of your arms as rope holding the weight to your body - they do no work beyond that (except maybe slowing the weight at the top of the rep to prevent it from going more than horizontal). The work is done with your hamstrings and glutes, that is where you'll feel the burn.
