I can only understand about half of what he says, but that half is hysterical!

He says (this was recorded in 2008, by the way, when the economic crash was happening,and just before the video starts, he is thanking the audience for coming out): It's a sold out show. Yeah. In these tough times, coming to see any comedian, knowing that there's a good chance we're paying fuck all in tax. Well done for that. You think that Jimmy Carr had it bad, wait until the press hear about me. I'm still signing on. That's just a joke there, before anybody... Shock revelation. I don't get these guys, dodging tax. How much fucking money do you need? You hear about these guys with 30 million pounds in offshore accounts. If you've got 30 million pounds, don't put it in an offshore account. Put it in a current account and fucking look at it. I would never pass a cash machine again. "I'm just gonna press 'display balance' here, guys... Your balance is 30 million pounds. Today you may withdraw 300 quid."

Rueda Angie his accent isn't that bad. Take a trip to the Doctors. Heck, get some hearing aids.
@ruedaangie65567 жыл бұрын
Mythical Hey, I didn't want to sound rude. I've been learning English for two years now, and I even have hard times with an easy English accent. Now that you know the reason, by reasoning yourself, you will know that no earing aids would make a chance. Cheers, buddy.

Don't feel bad. None of my friends can understand my Scottish family. And I would say Kevin's accent is pretty thick.

Lol the reason the guy with £30 million quid doesn’t put it in a current account to look at it is because he wouldn’t be looking at £30 million quid anymore! He’d be looking at more like £15 million because the government has just took half to pay for their duck houses at second homes that are castles and so on! And then if/when they die, it would be taxed in half again before their children get to look at it! That’s why they don’t and I say this as someone who isn’t rich but I don’t blame them! It’s not like any of us are going to see this money if it’s paid in tax are we! The government does a good job of getting everyone mad at people trying to avoid tax when first of all we all hate paying it and secondly it’s not like we’d all be taxed less! The government just want all this tax money to line their pockets some more and given the corrupt evil shit they get up to then to be honest I’d rather jimmy Carr has a duck house at his second home than some parasitic cunt in government who provides precisely zero benefit to human kind! I’d laugh if Kevin Bridges was caught signing on lol! Good for him, he’s a funny dude! That’s more than I could say for anyone in government!

Oh your poor children, they worked so hard to be born to you and all they get is *7.5 million fucking pounds* . No one gets 30 million pounds on their own, infastructure and public resources helped along the way hugely. Fuck tax avoiders.

Wealth is a finite resource. If it is handed down from generation to generation then those who are actually trying to earn their own wealth are competing for a limited portion of the pie.
@willywhonka5 жыл бұрын
@Chaitan Reddy If it was an infinite resource we'd all have plenty. For every billionaire there are millions of people who have next to nothing or even less than nothing, i.e debt that outweighs their assets. Of course wealth is a finite resource. It grows and recedes over time. People who hoard wealth are taking money out of the economy. You dont have to be an economist to understand that.
@willywhonka5 жыл бұрын
@Chaitan Reddy So we agree that a company like Amazon requires the hard work of many thousands of people to be successful. It's not just about the guy at the top. If Amazon paid their employees more what would they do with the money? They'd spend it. That is what grows an economy, people buying goods and services that creates more jobs, more wealth for more people. Jeff Bezos does not need a hundred billion dollars, I'm sure he could get by on fifty billion dollars just as easily. Again I repeat my original point, a small amount of people hoarding vast amounts of wealth is not good for the economy as a whole.
