Actually you are wrong, you forgot all the international friendlies and qualifiers and tournaments he's played no. Stop for 4 years. 2020-21 = 53 games, 21-22, 60 games, 22-23, 61games, 23-24, 66 games. So about 40 games or a whole extra season you missed in international games.

it is really hard to feel sorry for footballers playing loads of games every year, only getting three weeks off. There will be many many people working manual jobs, 5,6 or 7 days a week and be lucky to have 3 weeks off to recuperate. Massively overrated and on big money. Pep made a big mistake buying him and has openly admitted as much. As did West Ham. The Kalvin we remember disappeared the moment he got a big wage and signing on fee. Harsh? What did he do immediately after signing for City on such big money? Shows up overweight and then whines when Pep called him on it. I doubt we will see Kalvin Phillips play for England again. And if he can't get into either the England squad or even the West Ham starting 11 then one struggles to see why any Premiership club would sign him and his wages.

Can't be moaning about the amount of games. It's why clubs need to have a squad. You rotate players when they are tired simple as that. Issue isn't the amount of games the issue is spending huge money on one players then flogging them to play every single game. The actual issue is the club owners expectations and the managers not utilising rotation.
