Its weird how advanced warfare and even infinite warfare were actually really good singleplayer campains in retrospect. The both just were released at a time where the playerbase was longing for a realistic cod, hence feeling deceived when they instead got this. I sometimes wonder if the way people looked at the two games wouldve been different if only they were released after CoD MW 19 for instance.

I think people would have looked at these games differently if they weren’t call of duty games. No one gives a fuck about the campaigns, their target demo only cares about the mp grind. I think if these campaigns were in Medal of Honor, that series would not be dead as dicks.

I actually laughed at this scene because I feel like Sledgehammer subtly called out how useless the UN Security Council is. They are slightly more useful than a boy scout troop. Jonathon Irons was not totally wrong in many ways. Politicians in the current world LOVE war and tragedy. They thrive off of it. It's how they make money. But he was yet another man seeking all the power in the world in order to "solve" it. Not because it was the right thing to do.
@Rivecha

But the UN isn't supposed to be a multinational army sent in to stop wars and enforce global law. It's a forum for international discussion used as a venue to vent frustrations in the hopes of preventing a war, a job it has done well considering we went 80 years without a WWIII. An effective "UN" as you want it would be a global government that has jurisdiction over nations, and I don't think national governments nor their peoples would want to be controlled by a global entity or have foreign armies marching on their streets because other countries think it's the right thing to do.
@Linterna001
@Linterna001 Жыл бұрын
@@RivechaI agree. The UN is just a world forum. Were it as efficient and strict as many of it's critics want, the UN would have basically gone to war against the USSR and US in the middle east and straight out occupy most of Africa and Israel in order to ensure peace and Human rights while their respective independence processes and border drawings took place. Guess most of those critics would be touched knowing that the UN would have intervened against their beloved countries' interests.

I kind of wish we had villains like this in real life. Actually unique and nuanced characters that are motivated to make the world a better place. Calculating, smart, manipulative, ambitious. But no, all the villains in America are just “hmm today I think I’ll pass bills giving tax dollars to my billionaire friends, also fuck gay people” and that’s just the end of their ambitions.

@waifuz0 If they declare war to Biden. Then they don't necessarily declare war on the American people. If a foreign country invades the US and starts killing civillians. It doesn't mean the government will declare war. If you think government = the nations people then you just threw out the window centuries of philosophical and political ideas. Things like the French Revolution and the Russian Revolution touched these topics. Of course. The president will say that an offense to him is an offense to everyone. But that's not true.

@@splashnskillz37 A dictator makes a president. Dictators rise because of their ability to do so. We may have him as the supreme leader of the United States for 20-30 years (or the leader of the world), but when he dies it is questionable if his form of government will last. At least, most of the world could be united under one strong nation for a while. I am sure that we will make more progress as a race united than split between something so petty as what country you live in and who your leader is.
