So rare to see someone talk on the same level as Cornette and have Cornette respect them. Sullivan is always a great sorry teller. I could listen to these 2 talk all day

I think a lot of the reason for that Kevin helped him greatly with his first booking job in WCW and taught him how to format and write TV

As much as HBK annoyed Corny, he always gives him props: “of course Shawn Michaels made the corner bump look so pretty” lol that’s how good Shawn was

I can listen to Jim and Kevin speak about the Wrestling business for days. They are both so knowledgeable.

It’s a shame there’s hardly any video of Ray Stevens in his prime. The people who saw him rave about how good he was.

Loved when he would tie them to the tree of woe.

Loved watching these two back in the 80's....Cornette would go off for 20 minutes while the midnite express would beat up the scrubs and Sullivan 'do something for yourself Mike Rotunda!'

I enjoy listening to theses videos Cornette as a manager was my favorite...he learned and knew the bussiness. Kevin Sullivan not only a good wrestler but booker and story teller...he learned from the best on how the bussiness worked. I could listen to both all day long.

Wow 2 times today this ancient name came up in my reading. He must have been that dang good. I also remember Ric Flair explaining that his “by the numbers” routine was influenced by Ray Stevens upside down thing. He said if he didn’t see Ray do that he felt ripped off as a paying fan.

Talking with Nick Bockwinkel at a Cauliflower Alley Club reunion circa 2004, and when asked he said of course he took after his dad and Buddy Rogers for his look and style, but it was Ray Stevens that inspired him and he tried to pattern his work on what Stevens did. Another big name speaking truth about one of the all-time greats.

@Travlr013 So glad for you to meet such an great guy from the best era of wrestling.

It's all about subtle stuff. Heels can get more heat with little almost unseen things than they can with something over the top. The Hulkamania era was the beginning of the end of subtlety in wrestling and now it's completely gone.

@@karimsunderji9180 Billy Graham said in an interview how he, Stevens and Dick Murdock were in a restaurant. Murdock called over to a waitress and used an ethnic slur. Graham said Stevens exploded and told Murdock not to ever use that term to a young lady again. That doesn't sound like a racist to me.

You might want to give an example of his racism instead of just throwing out a blanket statement.
