The goal is not to pursue money nor women, but to pursue excellence. Thank you Kevin. You have given me hope today.🤧

Victim mentality is so common today. I used to have hardcore victim mentality from a chronic mental health disorder that made me suicidal and self destructive, but when I started adopting a mindset of self responsibility and focusing on things I could control, my success went on an exponential uptrend and now I’m in my second year of medical school for a dual degree program at a T20 school, have a loving girlfriend, and doing well for myself financially through stocks and crypto trading/investing. Victim mentality does nothing but creates more problems for yourself, makes you focus on things you cannot control, and promotes learned helplessness.

My wife used to say, to the annoyance of all her friends:"everything is a decision. So get over yourself and make a decision." To which I agree completely. Many of the younger generation have been taught to revel in being victims. And to also blame someone else for whatever grieves them. Taking responsibility for your life, and your decisions, is a lot more liberating than people think.

I’m also a south Asian. Former illegal alien fugitive turned US physician. Excellent video. Victim mindset needs to end. 3 Idiots movie quote: “Chase excellence and success will come running after you”

I needed to see this today. Was honestly struggling with self doubt, and taking the victim mentality. The thing that I've appreciated from this the most is pursuing excellence. Not money, happiness or so on. But truly going after being your best. Thank you Dr. Jubbal. I've been watching your MSI and vlog videos since I was in High school. It's been a tremendous help. ESPECIALLY the studying videos. The other series that I like the most is the So you want to be series. This is a long winded way of saying thank you. Thank you for being the voice of support when I most lacked it.

My first thoughts were "people have it way worse dude, calm down". But who am I to judge someone else's struggles through adversities. I remembered I always hated people who I told my problems and then they came back and told me they had it worse and they are just fine. We are all different and deal with things in different ways. I'm glad you are able to share your adversities and used that to fuel the successes you have now.

Stumbled upon your channel purely by chance (not in the medical profession) and wanted to wholeheartedly thank you for this video. Such an incredible journey of resilience, courage, and victories in the face of big struggles. I'm personally at a junction of choice (again for the second time in my life, sometimes lightning strikes twice) after an unexpected medical battle that reset the clock on career and personal successes. What you've shared deeply resonates and transcends as an inspiring and hopeful reminder of the importance of mindset during/after life disruptions. Many thanks from a tech/media industry follower from Los Angeles and wishing you continued excellence and successes.

This video was life altering in a genuine way. What you mentioned relating to pursuing money & women vs pursuing excellence had such an impact on the way I think. I really appreciate you making this content and putting the time into teaching me and others what life could look like from a different lense. Much love for you Kevin, much love.

I love the message of personal responsibility. I've been figuring this stuff out as well. Letting cognitive distortions run your mind is a hell not worth all the material resources of the world.

Alot of people like this cannot differentiate between talent + hardwork, I don't care how hard you work if you are not smart enough (if you do not have that certain wiring in your head) you will NEVER be able to achive academic exellence like this guy, I am sorry I have to break it down to you but for some people life is and will be hell

Sorry to be that guy Kev, but you shouldn't be prejudiced against people with successful parents. You don't have enough information about their lives to make that kind of black and white judgement. That's a cognitive distortion. Someone might have a rich lawyer as a father and a schizophrenic mother who just lost it at some point. They could even have more money than they could ever spend, and have to constantly contend with chronic pain from a bad car accident. "It speaks to grit, resourcefulness..." is just self-aggrandizement
