Tudor are killing it at the moment. At this moment in time I think Tudor could be cooler that Rolex. If I see someone out in a Rolex, it doesn't mean they're a watch person, some people buy them for the status, cause it's the only brand many people know. If I see someone wearing a Tudor, I'd be pretty confident they're a watch person.

However earlier this year I just got over it - the constant interruptions from Siri, the constant pings - I use my Apple Watch now for sleep and for working out. I one day decided I wanted to try something different. So, I bought a replica quartz Cartier (Ballon Bleu - yup I said it replica *LOL*). Then I fell in love with it. I didn't even know the difference between Quartz and Automatic - so I saw a few videos and wanted to try the "real" watch then. So I got a rep Aqua Terra to see the movement and that was my intro. Before I knew it, I have now an authentic Rolex OP 26mm (immaculate condition from the previous owner with the full set - I have asked to be on the waitlist for a 36 or 31 OP Pink, then came a Hamilton Khaki Field Auto *lol* for the range trips and work I saw it while trying on the BB58, since I loved the ballon bleu so much that was why there came the Tudor Claire de Rose, then the Royal 34mm that was a good deal from a dealer, then a Seiko presage, my next will be the BB58 and I used to hate a diver but I just loved the blue and it how it looked on my wrist. Would be a great pick up. Tudor Claire de Rose is an interesting watch as well. I was thinking of gifting her a Ballon Bleu soon but in the interest financial responsibility, I might start her off with the Tudor. It was my mistake to take her with me to one of my recent trips where I picked up a Zenith Chronomaster Sport, because she found her grail watch - a Breguet Reine de Naples with MOP and diamonds, coming in at $38k or so? My wife brought my Rolex Submariner 16613, that I had purchased from a Rolex AD in Richmond, VA (back in 1998) to the nearby Bucherer boutique in Lausanne, CH. She had brought along the original paperwork, purchase receipt, and insurance papers for that watch...which was in need of a service. The Bucherer employee at the counter told my wife, in the presence of other clients in the shop, that the watch was a fake and that it could not be serviced. Maybe for the fact that my wife is not Swiss...cannot say for sure...their treatment of her was cringe-worthy. In any event, my wife did not take the situation sitting down and insisted on a qualified expert examining the watch. After about 20 minutes, an employee with half a brain finally came over to authenticate my Sub. Rolex charged me ~CHF 1100 for that service. Bucherer is a business unit within the Rolex Foundation. If a Rolex employee cannot tell a genuine watch from a fake, why the hell should I spend another dime on that brand. Especially when considering how those pompous fools treated my wife. Never again.

Agree, Tudor is its own brand; but with new tool watches rich with the DNA of the Rolex of yesteryear. Rolex used to have a broad list of purely tool watches and you had to go to the 36mm datejust or day/date on jubilee to get something that was dressier. In recent years, most of the Rolex tool watches have become fancier with highly polished center links and ceramic bezels. Some to a point of being over the top. The Explorer and Air King lines are now the only purely tool lines. You can still buy a black submariner but even this line is pushing up stream, with precious metals and flashier colors. For those that still want the matte dials and warmer muted colors and aluminum bezels, Tudor fills that void quite nicely. From a marketing standpoint, it’s a brilliant move. Rolex is still the number 1 brand in the world. Tudor will rise to the number two position. Both brands will lead the charge at Bucherer!

I always wonder what the sales figures of Tudor would be if you could actually get any Rolex you want at sticker price. Honestly, I think the current sales figures of Tudor are primarily driven by aspiring Rolex buyers who simply can't get their hands on one. I don't see Tudor as a stand-alone brand, but still as the affordable alternative to Rolex, just like Wilsdorf positioned it. And honestly, I think the management of Tudor and Rolex are still purposefully positioning the brands like that. Tudor's existence is completely dependent upon the artificially created scarcity of Rolex.

I fell in love with Tudor after seeing one in a Porsche commercial. A 911 with a Tudor diver looked like a fit👍

Which commercial/ad? Official production? Why would they use a Porsche Design Eterna or Orfina in their own ad?

Loved the video and love my BB58. To me, Tudor is almost on par with rolex but at a fraction of a price. Why the lower price? You don't need pay for the over hyped brand name. Great watches that are worth the money.

- The chrono looks like Yema - The Black Bay looks like a Glycine - The fact that he didn't talk about the P01 makes me want one. It's always the oddball models nobody wants that end up being rare and cool collectibles (if any end up that way). The bronze & silver cases look interesting, too!

I bought a Pelagos only to get in the good graces of the AD who also handles Patek. I thought I’d keep it in the winder or safe and wear it when I was feeling “blue”. I was dead wrong. I love the titanium and the way the watch wears. Tudor is a great value.

I’m a Rolex owner and I also own two Black Bay 58s. And tbh I will probably end up buying more Tudors. They are great watches, they have that Rolex DNA without the over pretentious persona. My Tudors are more like my daily wears and the Rolex more a special occasion type of watch.

I own a Pepsi on jubilee I got back in November and I find myself wearing my new Pelagos 39 more than the Rolex. I absolutely LOVE Tudor, and never once, have I ever thought of Tudor as the poor man’s Rolex. Watch collecting is indeed a never ending journey and a lovely disease 💕 I was never a big fan of Tudor. It always felt like a wanna be Rolex. I just couldn’t take them seriously with an ETA movement. But in the last couple of years they have really done great stuff.

Dear Mister O’Leary; Tudor was never called a poor man’s Rolex. It was called a “working man’s Rolex”. There is a big difference in that!
