Would you consider doing an entire episode of gun fights you got into? Might be a lot to ask for, but genuinely curious of the experiences.

A "gunfights" series would be great. Gives insanely valuable info on the real effectiveness, application, and use of certain tactics. Not to mention real life lessons on mindset, ballistics, and violence.

Wish I would have been old enough back then to operate during the heyday of Iraq 05-08. Sounds like it was just the pinnacle of getting after it. Would have loved to serve with you and Glover. The same experience you had at the SF Bragg Museum I just had with my family at the National Infantry Museum at Benning. I never told them much about deployments. It's surreal seeing the OIF/OEF displays. Everything was very accurate - down to empty rip it cans and bootleg dvds, and makes you feel like you were just there.

Thanks for taking us down this road Kevin!!! I really enjoy it I normally see your posting first on Instagram! I’d like to come to the class for preparedness and edc just to see what I need to add to my already full edc backpack 😂 be surprised how often I use it and my full blown med kit at are families atv park. I’m pretty big on having medical equipment on me at all times have a couple different ones I carry if say I can’t bring my backpack or my big medical backpack have way much money in everything all the way down to oxygen tanks that are full! Have a setup at home to refill them if I end up needing to use them! So if I can get free I’ll be sure to make that class! And I’d be happy to show off everything I edc on me and have in the truck! It’s alittle ridiculous and most ppl judge me about it until an emergency happens and break it out! We deal with broken backs facial fractures atms legs implements you name it! And 9x’s out 10 they are drunk being they allow it in sc on private property. I literally have a staff shirt that says “shit show supervisor” on the front and staff on the back 🤣

Mad respect.

You say that not everyone can be a leader, but that seems to go against what the US military thinks which is why at E7 they sent everyone to that leadership course. Is the US military just confusing competence for leadership? Obviously, everyone wants competent leaders, but just because you're competent doesn't mean you'd make a good leader. So, how do you find leaders? How do you find people capable of leadership or can everyone be a leader with the right training?
@vitigaymer10532 жыл бұрын
He's addressed before that Army Leadership School forces people through and that many people who should not be leading- find themselves in the leadership hot seat as a result! Owens has stated that the Irish Army model of allowing people to spend an entire career in a specific role. Without forcing them into an NCO billet is more sensible to US Military.
@kuttermcneil15202 жыл бұрын
@@vitigaymer1053 right but it was also his job to go out and train guys up. Just because you want to be in a leadership role doesn't mean that you'd be a good leader or that you're even capable. This is what I'm interested in. How do you identify leadership? Or is the drive to be a leader enough and with the right training anyone can make it work? Or is there not really a way and you just try out different people until you get lucky.?
