TYSVM!!! Epson "Customer Service" prepared a return on this printer, and simply, a pencil had dropped down into where you input paper. PROBLEM SOLVED!

I'm going to have to watch your video later on. I had a friend give me a printer that he said didn't scan. What he failed to mention is that he didn't put the screws back in after he took it apart to see if he could fix it. And then proceeded to lose every screw because he didn't put them in a box or back in.

Thank you for your video , I tried this method once before and it worked ?, it happened again and now the smallest cable wire is badly scratched is there a video on how to replace or fix this problem, can this wire be cut? or does the wire need to be completely replaced and if replacement is necessary is there a video on how to do this ? Please advise I am sure that is the problem with the printer as it was working fine. I really do not want to get rid of it if I can fix it with a spare part.

Hello, I was setting up a brand new Epson Ecotank 2800 and trying to get it ready for sublimation. Soon as I reached the step after preparing, it mentioned it would take 11 minutes, but before it could finish I received a message that there's an E2 scanning error with the same numbers underneath.😭 All the website says is to shut off and turn back on, but it's been wasting my sublimation ink. I tried to follow the steps you mentioned, removed the screws to open the printer up and looked at the three ribbons, as well as removed the side panel to place the ribbons back where they belong. When I went to open the printer, a screw was missing from the front already and on the inside there was a piece of black tape on the inside near where the ribbons were. I removed the black take and observed the ribbons. I didn't see any damage, so I proceeded to use a dry cloth, even though the ribbons looked like there wasn't any dust or damage. I've been trying to figure this out for awhile now, any advice would be appreciated. The latest is that when I try to turn it on now, it skips the initiation step, but when I try to do anything, such as copy, or maintenance, it says printer busy, and then the same error message happens. I'm not sure if it's the way I'm loading the paper, because it doesn't seem to smoothly be able to be pushed to line up with the arrow where the printer rear tray is, or if I'm not loading enough pages at the same time. I also was in the middle of setting up the wifi network to connect to it, but I couldn't finish setting up the wifi because of the scan error. I finished trying to set it up on my cell which is android, and my laptop I'm using is a MacBook Air. Additionally, I was using brand new A sub sublimation paper, but then switched to use regular copy paper to not damage or waste the sublimation paper, and the Hippo Sublimation Ink that mentioned it would work for an ET 2800.😔 I don't know if it's a printer problem, or a problem with the sublimation ink, paper being loaded, or air in the line, since I can't get passed this error code to even attempt to print anything. Thank you in advance for any information or assistance you can provide.

Hello @@mayvue3075. Sorry for the late reply, I just saw that you left a comment. I'm not sure if you already returned yours or not, but what I did was contacted the merchant that I purchased from, in my case, Amazon and explained the situation. It was under buyer protection, so they issued me a 1x replacement for the printer, and said the faulty printer, I could keep. I tried to fix the one that didn't work, and found a video that was about the scanner having an issue, where you have to take the section with the glass apart to get to the mechanisms inside. I followed the steps, which seemed like it might work, but then the part that holds one of the mechanisms that moves the scanner, broke when I tried to follow the instructions, so I'll never know if it was an issue because of the scanner not being able to move or it just was a defective item. The replacement printer I took the chance to try setting up for sublimation again, and thank God it worked. So maybe we both just received bad batches or printers that previously were defective, I'm not sure. I hope it'll work out for you too. Sorry for the late response.

Hi Kevin, I find your channel excellent. I have a problem my Epson workforce 545 is showing a Printer error problem. no code number. it states turn off and then on again. I have done these to many times to count. I changed out the ink and placed in a new Epson ink cartridge. I cleaned the print heads, the printer came back on then I went to check the print pattern and the error came up. Please help. I have not been able to use the printer since.

To answer your question, most desktop EcoTank printers in the same series share the same mainboard and scanner configuration, so swapping the top scanner should work. The scanner itself won’t interfere with the ink system, so if you notice any issues with printing after replacing the scanner, the problem likely lies in the ink delivery. I'd recommend troubleshooting the ink system separately. If you run into any hiccups during the process, feel free to reach out. I think my issue was the wires got pulled out... but I have reconnected everything and I'm still getting the error. Only thing I can think of is that where it connects got ripped off the board and now it can't connect anymore--that or the ribbon wire got damaged.

I purchased a used Epson ET 2760 the seller said it had a jam paper error. When we received it the scanner was off the printer with 2 small ribbons out, I don't see a 3rd large ribbon. It appears the scanner was forced too far back when opening it up. Does this model use a 3rd large ribbon? How do we dissemble the printer to get to where the cables connect?

The Epson ET-2760 should only have two ribbons - one small and one large. If the large ribbon seems missing, it might be tucked further inside the printer. Once both ribbons are properly connected, that paper jam error should clear up. Just bought my printer a week ago , changed out ink (making it a sublimation printer) I initially put in the wrong ink so I followed a video and drained the printer of the wrong ink and now when I turn it on (haven’t added new ink yet) I get a scanner error - 100077. I ended up taking it apart and making sure wires were plugged in right like 50x. Then when I was about to give up it magically started working again. No more error. It's really hard to hold top open and try getting wires in with no help. Now I just gotta fix the black ink cuz it comes out really bad when I print. It's lines everywhere. 🙄ugh

Hi, there are two screws one on each side corners of the printer . its on the top under the window pane, remove them and you will be able to lift the top. inserting the smaller wire can be tricky. I had to remove the side panel of the printer in order to insert the wire into to place. It comes out easily so I have had to do it a few times. I have watched some people re insert the wire effortlessly without removing the side panel I have not been able to do it. I hope this helps

Help. I can see I have the med and the small cable that aren't connected to anything. I can't no matter how hard I try to get the back off. I have pushed in on the white tab but it doesn't seem to release anything. What am I doing wrong. This is a new printer and I am getting really frustrated.
