Thanks, Kevin. Great utility! I connected a Win 10 computer to a Win 11 computer. A couple of tips: (1) Make sure the graphic in the software represents your physical configuration. For example, if computer 1 is located to the right of computer 2, it must be the same in the software graphic for the mouse to work properly. (2) If you have problems with the computers communicating with each other, go into Windows Defender and add the file path to the mousewithoutborders.exe file to the inbound and outbound exceptions lists on all computers.

I work from home for Microsoft as well. This is great! My KVM switch would not work with my wireless keyboard and mouse so I had to move the wireless fob from PC to PC to get the keyboard/mouse to work on a different PC. This solves that problem. Now if you can just do the same for monitors I can throw away my KVM switch for good! Get back in the garage and please figure that one out! Thanks!

Haven't fully tested, but at least on main pc if I'm playing at full screen the mouse is locked to that screen. I was pretty worry about that, but it worked well. holy fuck, this is a game changer, i use my main desktop PC and my surface pro X together all the time (the SPX is the touchscreen only model with no keyboard, basically a windows tablet), and I've got a wireless mouse that can switch between both devices but there's like a 3-4 second delay, and the switch is underneath the mouse, not ideal, so i just default to poking the surface with my finger which is pretty hellish, windows is NOT touch optimised, i don't care what microsoft say... this changes my workflow SO MUCH jeeeeez, i can't believe how well optimised this is, there's virutally no latency using a wireless mouse connected to my main pc, relayed to my surface, it's so damn badass, and the keyboard seamlessly switching to whichever PC i've got the mouse on is actually epic tysm for this video dude, quick simple setup vid, straight to the point! cheers!

@2:35 "...you can do this with files, up to 100 megabytes in size." From where was 100 MB derived? Why is a limit set? @3:16 "To work well, you'll have to make sure you have a relatively fast internet connection for all of your different computers." How is the "internet" relative to your local PCs being networked? I would think that you should be able to disconnect your uplink to your WAN (to your internet service) and it should mean zero for computer "A" to be linked to computer "B"?

For those of you having issues like me that aren't addressed by this 2 year old video, these are the steps I followed to make it work: 1.) AV shenanigans: *usually* with things of this nature, the AV is causing problems. Depending on what AV you use, add Powertoys (or MWB if you're using a standalone) as an exception to the firewall (please also never do this on a public or non-secure network...) 2.) Downgrade them to a compatibility version: rightclick Powertoys --> Properties --> upper tab "Compatibility" --> check the box to enable "Compatibility mode" and make sure every computer you're trying to connect to is using the same version (I found W8 to be more stable for some reason, idk) --> apply 3.) Add Firewall Rule: In the Mouse Without Borders context menu, scroll down to the "Troubleshooting" area and click the "Add firewall rule" which will bring up a cmd to automatically do so for you (I have no idea if this is any different from step 1, I dropped out of compsci for a reason- but it takes 3 seconds so why not). 4.) Restart all devices 5.) Try to connect For me this worked, hopefully it helps you. If it doesn't, then I wish you well on your Google searches to find a solution.
