@taleent4700 I have an frs. Which uses a lot of the same parts aftermarket wise, many are interchangeable. I had bought the eibach set. And I had a purple set on my car when I got my second frs. I have no idea as to what they were as they were unmarked and came installed already. But both sets made the car handle more loose feeling. I got the kw coilovers which made the car feel like stock, but allowed me to lower it as much as I wanted. I had to get other suspension parts as well though to get the alignment close to stock. Have a slight bit of camber, I think -1.5 degrees in the rear. And the front is within oem spec.

I personally wen KW v3s last year and it's night and day compared to other cheaper entry level to even cheaper mid level coilovers. I tell people nowadays to SPEND THE EXTRA on a quality set of coilovers like the KW. You're going to be MUCH happier every time you hop in your car and drive. Even drove mine in the winter and when it came time to replace the springs with stiffer rates, the collars moved very easy.

I really don't understand why anyone thinks they can spend substantially less than factory for suspension and think they're improving performance. I wouldn't buy coilovers cheaper than $1,500 if they were non-adjustable let alone spending less than that for adjustable coilovers. I got the RCE Tarmac Zero coilovers on my STI which were $1,800 at the time. They're fantastic. If I wanted something adjustable, I'd step up to the Tarmac 2 for $2,700, and then I'd get them shock dyno'd so I know which settings on each actually match.

Never heard of race comp and now I want these. Sound really good, I was planing on fortune autos cause kw was too pricey but kw helped make this and you plus so many other people say it’s a great daily driving coilover. So now I gotta sink my money into this. And thanks for making a coilover review like this, I’ve seen so many that just say the coilover is great and they don’t compare. Like so many people say teins are great but I don’t trust that. Glad you experienced both worlds of good and bad, this is what I’ve been looking for.

If you're looking for something cheaper, check out ST Suspension. It's owned by KW Suspension so all their technology is also found on ST coilovers. They use cheaper materials to build ST coilovers (like galvanized steel bodies instead of stainless bodies like KWs) but the quality will be the same.

Its Jose, I just ordered Ce28s plus with those exact specs. Are having to do any fender modifications with your particular ride height and camber settings? If so what are your rear camber settings? And did you purchase the RUCA? I went ahead and purchased the RUCA. My eta is March for the Ce28s, trying to iron out any issues ahead of time. Also, how have the top hats and spherical bushing for the front and rear effected NVH for daily?

40-way? that's insane. 32-way is a lot and more than most will ever need, but 40 is crazy. I find the longer the name of the part, the less gee-whiz the part is; but that is just me....

@@mtntrailsubie I previously used some cheap Godspeed coils, but the valving performance ruins any daily driven car. Twin Tube coils are generally more comfortable. The Cusco kit is very comfortable, rides better than stock and perfect for daily / spirited driving in the mountains. If you do track, and get salt on your roads in winter, I'd recommend the Race comp Engineering Super Street II Kevin installed in this video as it does hold up better on track vs the Cusco Street Zero A.

If you arent going to track and just want cosmetics, just get lowering springs. They will look just as good and handle better than cheap junk coils. If you actually intend to do some real performance driving, coils are well worth it. Also, Tein makes really great stuff for really great prices. Just sayin

Get it aligned. Imo a great camber angle is -2 fronts to -2.5 degrees rear.

The "right" alignment specs comes down to what you're using the car for. For most people that are just daily driving the car you won't want anything too aggressive, -1.5 to -2.5 degrees, but if you're tracking the car you'll want even more to activate more grip. Thanks for watching!

I had lowering D2 springs and trueheart shocks on my car. IT WAS HORRIBLE. Screw cheap brands. I now have K sports which are like a mid tier brand. And they're so much better. It handles better, rides better, and makes way less noise. NEVER CHEAP OUT ON YOUR CAR! IT WILL COME BACK TO BITE YOU
