Lifetime bronco here. More upset with the injuries than the loss. Hope both Adam and Jesse are ok. The game was won by the better side. We will bounce back. Most teams do, after games like that.

When the team list came out and when Big Oates wasn't in the team, I felt something bad was going to happen.... Just because he could play both backs and forwards would be a good bench player... And maybe have Sailor in at 14

Loved watching the chooks dismantle this over confident Broncos team tonight. Question is thou, how much longer do you keep persisting with Reynolds. Feels like every 2nd game he gets injured for a month or longer. Time for him to consider his place

Dont think Brisbane are "overconfident right now. We absolutely could of started the season stronger and whilst having 40+ scored on you is never acceptable, Reynolds, Mam (for 10) Arthars plus the sin bin were all critical in tonights loss. If we make it out of the Origin period still in the 8 I give us a fighting chance.

@@MadMatt598 My overconfident observation came from Staggs push and shove on Sualili after the Bronx first try. It wasn’t necessary and was in bad taste. I’m sure they’ll make it through origin and remain in the 8 but we’ll see I guess. Few other teams pushing for those last few spots now.

Roosters went through awful injuries a couple years ago and no one called them 'overconfident' Roosters just hung in, they didn't dismantle the Broncs. It was 18 all, then broncs got 10 in the bin, lost reynolds, erza was off with head knock and the chooks put points on. Coupled with Klein having a shocker, chooks all over brons in the play the ball and didn't get 6 agained Broncs pulled through their line easily when they held the ball.

I thought after what happened to Walsh we were never going to see an all-forward bench again 🤔 Had Sailor been on the bench, we could’ve seen Sailor to 5/8, Mam to Halfback, then at least when you lose Mam to HIA you shift Walters to HB… still have a functioning halves unit that way. Of course, I’m no coach but…. In the the modern game you NEED a 14 that covers multiple positions, not just one that’s your backup dummy half. Having a second specialist hooker is overkill in my opinion. Anyone can slot in and deliver the ball in a pinch, jeez, we saw Josh McGuire years ago picked as 9 for Samoa… I mean, a PROP, picked at 9. Need that proper utility value on the bench.

Disgusting football from the Broncos. Trying way too hard when all they need to do is be patient and build pressure. Especially the first half, it was atrocious. Not even close to be premiership contenders with that rubbish. Broncos can only beat lower teams and haven’t beat a good team yet. Again, caught out with no utility/back on the bench, which forced too much to change positionally.

Repeating this from a reply, and it’s gonna be slander + a mouthful/spiel, but; Walsh played ass, made 4 errors and averaged 96 metres compared to 0 errors and 200+ metres from a bloke 10 years older than him. Overall show-pony and with a considerably large ego that’s stroked by Ennis and Klein. Blatant pull on Walker’s shirt that should’ve been penalised, but Klein was too busy COINCIDENTALLY day-dreaming to pay attention. Tossing the ball around for the sake of it, ass passing, he’s just fast. Fast, and can kick, sure. He has his good moments, but if others were willing to regard the game and role he played today, they’d probably reconsider their labels on him as a “must-have”. Sure, they got overwhelmed with injures + errors GALORE, but that doesn’t excuse their lack of accountability and ability to be a versatile team, (this is debatable). They all need to group together and reaffirm their loss of players and do something about it/reappoint their strengths, having a centre playing five-eight to fill a gap of their reserve-ridden side won’t help. Also, putting Reynolds on after just recovering from a hamstring injury back-to-back almost guarantees his absence for another 4-8 weeks. Tore the muscle off his bone. Well done, Kev. To sum it up: HUMBLE THEM ALL, the majority of them have way too much to gas them up; regarding Staggs’ shove and adamantly all of Walsh’s grub acts. End a’ story This is all coming from a Rooster supporters’ mind, (surprisingly, wow). Any Bronx fans that are willing to contest can go ahead. I’d like to add that we weren’t exactly perfect either, neither team executed what I would say was “textbook-play criteria”, but there were moments that were great. Both teams included.
