Man, the sound engineers at KEXP are so on point. These mixes sound freaking incredible on every band they have in the studio. I think the only thing comparable is the Tiny Desk series. I love this!

Bassist is legend. Smooth as silk strings. Got them reeds and horns just right. Percussion perfect because you damned near don't even hear it's so good. Bone is boniny. Trumpets always too gatdayum loud, but glad they are present. What more could you ask for?

Stumbled upon this music recently thanks to youtube "suggested", how does this not have millions of views and likes? I don't even like jazz but when I heard those guys I couldn't not like it, everything is perfect, those guys had to met and play together at some pooint and it's awesome that it happened, could almost make you believe in fate and stuff :) Even the radio guy kinda looks and sounds likes he could shit on simple average people all day long and has only great words to say to them.

Soul jazz is more on the funky side and less so on the jazzy side, this is probably why you got hooked. It's almost impossible not to enjoy this.
