I think we all know the Grammys are a crock of $hit (They usually go for what is most commercial, for example in 2016 when they snubbed Courtney Barnett for best new artist in favor of Meghan Trainor), but the nomination might at least get the band some good publicity.

If repetition is a hammer, lyrics are a nail. The band is very tight. The drummer is extremely gifted. With a live audience and some more lyrical nuance, they could be great. They strike me as being strident, but without heartfelt emotion, simply because of the songwriting deficit. What we need is visceral banality. This is kitch.
