I think we all know the Grammys are a crock of $hit (They usually go for what is most commercial, for example in 2016 when they snubbed Courtney Barnett for best new artist in favor of Meghan Trainor), but the nomination might at least get the band some good publicity.

Oh, my good grief. This whole performance is a lucid dream. They are so intense, so full-on damned serious about their music; every sound is nuanced and composed just so. Sophisticated, erudite... They are musicians completely wrapped in their muse... it's a privilege to see them at work like this. And that's before we even come to Grian and his lyrics and his delivery and his stage presence and range. So rare to see such a perfectly balanced band of musicians. Watching them perform is completely entrancing and the worlds their music conjures up are by turn captivating, terrifying, sad, hopeful, raucous, beguiling. Bravo, Fontaines DC, bravo.
