Thanks for the extra details about the unlock/lock "bits" falling out of the side of the lock casing. I would stress to not let the circuit board fall out of that side of the case in order to keep the "bits" in place. SO ALWAYS keep that side down when you are dismantling it to allow gravity to work for you. In this demo, the lock/unlock "bits" stayed together with the whitish/clear plastic spacer. In my case, that section completely fell apart, requiring much patience and a tweezer to reassemble it IN THE PROPER ORDER. Spacer bar needs to go in first, among other things. Took me a long time to figure all this out and get everything to sit correctly. Still you provided more details than some other videos.

Yeah this one gets it! great close ups which are necessary here and a muchhh easier way to get the last piece open than the last video. I️ tried their way for like half an hour this took just a min. Thank god for KZbin or we’d never get these things open! Well done key man. I️ Also like the British accent ha it makes me trust you. For some reason. 🤔 Is that why nature documentaries are always narrated with a British accent? Cuz we believe that Brit’s have gained wisdom through their long period of history kinda running the western world? Or because the brits just make all the best nature documentaries? I️ suppose I️ just Love British things all around. Has anyone read this far? I’ve been up all night and fixing this fob is the icing on the cake 👌😎 now I️ know... I’m thankful for British accents and how much I️ trust them! Hey Now I️ know what to do when I’m stressed out...have people give me advice in British accents! Or find a British guy to hang out with. That could work :) I️ need a British boyfriend ...for my health! I️ live in Cincinnati in case there’s anyone who wants to hook a sista up. Forrreal tho this is just as good as tinder imo. Who knew I’d leave such a long comment! This is a record and a first. Probably because I️ feel like the ppl who read this will be very purpose driven and probs not read/mind this rant for a brief distraction from the rocket science that is opening this fob! Waited months to change it but I’m doing it for my friend secretly so hell have it tomorrow! And won’t be afraid I’ll break it the whole time. Luckily you made a good vid and told us how to fix it jic! Yay for humans I️ love you all. Have a great day and appreciate the little good things :) that’s the key to a happy life ...sit down and appreciate shiz no matter how big or small. Gratitude has a chemical effect on the brain that makes your serotonin and dopamine go up! And it’s fun. I’m happy for my cats pink nose and that sparkles exist. In closing, thx for reading my first ever rando rant, and we’re all just humans floating around, but you can find gratitude everywhere even if it’s something random af like a key fob or u have a stressful thought. Cuz British accents and dopamine always work! BEST VIDEO FOR THIS FOB! I️ WATCHED 5 OTHERS AND THIS WAS THE MOST USEFUL

That was very useful. I figured out how to separate the two parts but couldn't figure out how to open up the battery housing and didn't want to risk poking around and forcing it open (my manual covered a key fob). BUT HOLD ON JUST A SECOND! IS THAT A MITSUBISHI EMBLEM? INSIDE MY MAZDA KEY?! COOL! 😜 Oh, I've also noticed people asking about the forth button up there. Now, I'm assuming that like in my car, when pressing the lock button it will also arm the alarm. So, according to the manual (though I haven't tested that myself yet), after you lock your car, you have 20 seconds to disable your alarm.

Hi. I saw both your videos to change the battery and reprogram it. I hope the reprogramming will work like you say. But I'm trying to change the battery in my key. Mine is a Mazda 6. 2006 2.3L Sedan. I located the small tab inside to separate the two key components. But on yours to open it, you have three rectagulated slots. One on each side and one in the middle that you put your flat screwdriver in to delicately twisted it open. But mine doesn't have that tab to open it. I don't wanna break it. So how and where do I go to separate it to get to the battery. Please let me know. Thanks!
