You could relocate your trolling motor batteries to your front compartment. Makes a significant difference. Just to level it out.
@getrollingrvrentals7932 жыл бұрын
I did look into doing this, but the tube that the TM wires are ran through from the TM plug to the console has a blockage somewhere and the wires just will not budge. I also didn’t feel like fishing the leads for the NOCO battery charger back to the front either as it has been insanely hot here recently. Lol I would like to add the weight up front, but until I really feel like taking it back apart, I’m just going to leave the batteries in the console or maybe a single 24V lithium battery in the future to save space and weight.

How has the Atlas micro jacker been after 1year? Particularly with the 115 on it. I’ve heard conflicting stories regarding running outboards that are on the higher end of its weight capacity. All going well? Is it worth the extra $1000 in your mind? (I commented the other day. I have the exact same boat and putting the exact motor on it this winter). Looking to maximize hole shot and top speed, not worried about running shallow. Thanks for your input!
@getrollingrvrentals79311 ай бұрын
I’m not sure how I didn’t see this comment until now, but yes I believe the Atlas was worth it. I currently have 80hours on the set up and the only thing that has gone wrong with the Atlas is the relay mounts have rusted. The piece of mind of creeping through shallow areas with stumps with minimal prop in the water has worked out very well.

Fantastic job, I am so jealous. I am restoring a 2007 Key West 196 Bay Reef. My first problem is removing the flip seat mount. Did you find you had to remove the floor access panel to take out the 4 screws? I tried one of the screws and it only spun so I figured there must be a nut on the other side.
@getrollingrvrentals7932 жыл бұрын
My front seat on the console was just installed with about 6 screws into the fiberglass. That and when I pulled my whole console, everything came out easy. I would apply a lot of pressure on the screws and try to put a wedge under the part and help put pressure under the head of the screws.
@ClockmakerJeff2 жыл бұрын
@@getrollingrvrentals793 I was talking about the cooler seat that you changed out. I was hoping not to have to pull the floor. I'm trying to avoid pulling the console, but to redo the wiring it would be much easier. I also checked into having seat made but they aren't accepting orders at this time.

Have the same boat, same set up and tried different pitches and could only get 42mph at the best, that’s with me alone, the boat gutted with no ice chest or. Extra batteries, or i-pilot . Bro, it doesn’t matter what 90 you put on that 17ft keywest, there’s no way you are pushing 10mph faster rigged out wit you just in it. 50mph would have you with a 115h-150.
