When my husband and I went there in the 70,s before we had kids we loved it. We are from Florida and went camping all over the state for fun. God I miss those days and miss him. He’s in heaven now waiting for me. Love your channel.

I always enjoy the ride between places that you visit. It makes one feel like we are actually along for the ride. We get to see some beautiful scenery. You know, when you finish all your travels, you could put together some really good documentaries. 👍

That looks great. Also, eating at that bar during sunset, that would be spectacular. It looks beautiful down there. The seven Mile bridge looks fun to drive across.

I can't lie about it,,,,but when I married in 1978 our honeymoon was a rather cheap road trip down through Florida from Georgia with no final destination in mind. A Little past halfway through our trip we found ourselves in Key West. It was the only not too good stop on our trip. It was around May 27th and the place was hotter than hell with no really good beach to go to where you might cool off in the water. The hotel's AC might have got down to 80 if it was cloudy and rainy. All the little shops and eateries were also hot...even the ceiling fans revolved languidly at best. Can't say I'd ever want to go back there. We had great stays in Key Largo going snorkeling at Pennekamp reef. Loved Islamorada, Marathon and nice beach at Bahia Honda. Other stops in Florida were also great...the Everglades...Anna Maria Island...naples/ Fort Meyers area. Haven't been south of Orlando in decades and I'm sure a lot has changed.

Love the Key's. The chickens are everywhere down there and they are a protected animal you can't mess with them.

I have been to many countries around the world. I enjoyed the sunrise in Key West the best. Also enjoyed Miami in the mornings. Beautiful sunrise and most people do not come out until late in the day. Also no charge to park at the beach in the morning at south beach

Seems like every seafood dive and bar in coastal Florida does the "dollar bills on the wall" thing💵. I noticed it on a trip to Panama City Beach few years back.

In the song "Kokomo" the Beach Boys mentioned Key Largo. I thought the song was one of their best ones, even though it came out in the late 80's or early 90's.

I agree, and I'm a big Beach Boys fan. There's also a song called "Key Largo" that's pretty good in a cheesy sort of way.

Lots of fried chicken walking around on the streets in Key West. I like Florida and all it has to offer, don’t know when I’ll be back. We tend to go to Southern California when we’re looking for a break from the cold, we have family there and offers lots to do. Great video guys key West is a little to busy for me lol I’m getting old to lol.
@JoeandNicsRoadTrip2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, key, I just showed you a few of the chickens. They run wild all over the island. It was bizarre! I’m with you in the too old for the crazy amount of people. 🥲

For your next trip, you should check out the "Christ Of The Abyss" right off Key Largo. You don't have to scuba dive to see the impressive statue.

That's fascinating , those power lines over the water never ever saw that anywhere . It seems to me it would be cheaper for this area to have thier own power plant and mini grid ? But way cool anyway ???

We’re in Winter Garden near Disney, off 192. Aji Ceviche is 28 miles away, so not too far. We’ll try to get over there! I looked at the menu online. Looks really good!!

Driving to Key West is much better than the city (too much tourists and retired people with RVs). But definitely worth doing a daytrip when you stay southern Florida.

She says she wishes there was a beach in Key West. Uuummm there are. He says they're looking for a place to get a drink and some food right while they are walking past sloppy joes. So they just passed about 50 of them already and went all the way to the pier before they thought they found a bar. I'm confused

I used to live there. You missed a ton. There are beaches there. There's a civil war fort (Union), many restaurants (Latitude's), and you didn't even get on a boat. You missed everything. You should go back and spend a handful of days there.
