Had no idea New Mexico could be so cold and snowy...always assumed it was more like Arizona, hot and dry

To us Iowans 13 is cold too. I didn't realize New Mexico could get so cold. I thought it's temps would be more like that of Texas and Arizona. Good to know that New Mexico isn't a good retirement destination haha

Haha. I can hear the delight in your voice as you walk around town. It's a good day for your inner child! 👽🤣👽.

It’s ok warming up in the Bronco, I tell you summer time in Texas for me is torture I feel like I’m going to melt lol. You’re a great story teller, you catch a person’s imagination and it pulls you in. I’m really taken back with Roswell I had no idea it looked like it does it’s a nice looking place.

It never occurred to me that the city would be decorated like that. So cool. I'm not much for sci-fi. It's too possible. 😂 Was that a real green truck at the welcome place outside of town? Great video.

Hey Spoda...I'm a complete sci-fi geek so you know Roswell is an out of this world visit that I gotta experience...now I gotta say that I'd be a little Leary of eating at an outter space McDonald's,I would only eat there after they prove to me that it's ground beef I'm about to eat and not an alien burger...lol

Everything in Roswell is alien themed. Neat how even McDonald's is alien themed. This gives tourists a reason to come to Roswell.

I’m skeptical if that Roswell thing actually happened.

I would like to be the first to welcome an alien when he (or she) steps out off the spacecraft. Of course the first thing I would say is, "no shirts, no pants, no service."

I am not confident that the crash landing of a ship that had been observing Almagordo really counts as a "visit". Only one occupant survived the crash and he was dead 12 hours later. It would be helpful if we would invite some aliens to come visit instead of treating them all like dreadful enemies.

Since there are no aliens, I’m sure it was either a secret weapon or aircraft.

It must be pretty sad when you have to desperately hang on to your only source of tourism dollars that is based entirely on an event that happened approximately 60 years ago? right down to the goofy looking cartoon street lights, got to hand it to the local government though, whatever it takes must be there motto

The city has nothing else going for it, it’s also known as the dairy capital of the Southwest but that’s not exciting to most people.

After LBJ shut down the local AF base there wasn't a lot more there. I was in Roswell on an around the country tour in June, '19. The only place I visited was the old theatre and found out later the better place was across the street, where Spoda was standing at 12:17.
