Very good information. Thank you. During the pandemic, I decided to get my inflammation down and gut biome healthy. Normally, I ate a lot of sweets and snacked on packaged snacks. I got rid of sugar best I could and stopped snacking. Read labels for sugars (anythin that ends in OSE is a sugar.) I ate apples, blueberries, walnuts for snacks ... or a early supper. I eat simple healthy foods now. Cravings for sweets actually are 99% gone. I lost 50 lbs after 7 months. BP is great. No brain fog. Lost my belly fat. Aches and pain gone. Insomnia gone. Energy WAY up. Walk modestly several times a week. If its cold or rainy, I walk the aisles and perimeter of Walmart or Lowes! I feel great! I'm 69 and don't want dementia or cardio disease as I age. It was only up to me to do the right stuff. Nobody could do it for me and I don't want to be on ton of meds. Thank you for this video. Sugar feeds fatty liver, infections and disease. Get off of it people! Bless you.

Did you mention sugar and fructose! My journey went like this, I was a healthy eater ( so I thought ) I ate lots of fruits and veges because I liked them and they were suppose to be good for me. Thru my 40’s I was putting on weight even though I was eating healthy, so I ate more and more fruit, 3 smoothies, a bunch of grapes, pineapple, berries…….. every day. Then when I was 50 I went in for a annual blood work and found I had extremely elevated liver enzymes (ALT in 954 and AST 678), so I got a Fibroscan and was diagnosed with NASH early stage 3 ( 4 is cirrhosis ). My endocrinologist told me there is no medicine for this all I can to is change my diet and my lifestyle, which was true but me gave me no details on what to eat and not to eat. So I went home and stared my research, I decided to try a health version of Keto along with intermittent fasting for 18-24 hours a day to give my liver a chance to use the stored fat that has accumulated there and to rid the inflammation that was damaging my liver. 3 months later my Fibroscan and liver enzymes were getting better fast and now 2.5 years latter my scores are Alt24 and AST 19 and my Fibroscan went from a 10 to a 6 (12 is cirrhosis) which is early stage 1. For me I also increased animal protein as I went through my journey to almost being a full carnivore for the past year. All my ailments are now gone brain fog, better attitude, sore joints and muscles, skin rashes, poor digestion and so much more…… Here is my conclusion of my journey with my fatty liver: First of all I haven’t drank alcohol since I was 21, I did have stress from responsibility for a growing business, but the biggest driver of my issues was coming from FRUCTOSE ( from fruit)! Please do your research on fructose it’s a mitochondria Killer! Good Health everyone!

@@lorenstern9852 cirrhosis cannot be reversed they say, but even if I had cirrhosis I would try this. Regular fatty liver can reversed pretty fast 3-6 months. Fast, eat very low carb, no seed oils, no grains, no fruit either (fructose is the worst)! Good luck

I am BEARy happy that I found your Channel today! Dr. Montgomery, I understand this may be an expansive question, however in *general terms* - *What would be your suggestion, in terms of natural remedies and supplements to help with low Left Ventricle Ejection Fraction? The E.F. being around 50%, whereas a normal LV E.J. would be around >70 - 80%.* I am aware that one must limit salt, alcohol, smoking, and manage weight loss (overweight/obese) , BUT if one has done none or very little of these negative things, what can be done? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh… I just Subscribed. Thank You BEARy Much.🧸 BTW, I also looked at one of your Shorts of your food prep. Does your practice offer mail order Food Prep Meals (Weekly/Monthly)? If so, let us all know. If not, I strongly suggest you should start one.

I find it ironic that statins which are supposed to lower cholesterol is a contributing factor to fatty liver disease, at least according to your presentation. Why is it that doctors prescribe it? That would make the problem worse and make it even harder to get better. It's like giving a Type 2 diabetic insulin when they're already hyperinsulinemic. Baffling.

My VA Dr. Just informed me I have probably had fatty liver disease for about a decade due to putting on much weight very quickly after injuries that put me retired from the military. Unfortunately he says the scaring is not quite cirrhosis but close enough so says it is irreversible and I will die very quickly very soon very painfully. Also says transplant is not an option with me being a veteran who deals with a mental illness (ptsd) that make me automatically inevitable for consideration. Will just do the best I can fight best I can how I can

Hey don't let this people discourage you! I have seen people with cirrhosis recover! Change your diet and cut sugar and high carb foods and bad fats . Just have extra virgin organic olive oil and omega 3 Focus and vegetables . Besides things like Milk Thistle, NAC , TUDCA , Essential Fort , Choline , Dandelion have good clinical research. The liver is the only organ that can regenerate Itself. I highly recommended you get a second opinion too. They misdiagnosed my dad with liver cancer . An MRI and another Fibroscan after this changes go and do. Some exercise slowly could improve things too. Ifcyou need help let me know .

Depends on what the rest of your diet looks like. As long as the coconut oil is unrefined, cold pressed organic it's fine. Nuts are fine. None of what you listed would cause fatty liver unless your carbohydrate and sugar consumption is high as well

I disagree with the reduction of animal protein . Fructose should be reduced greatly. Plant/ fruit based = increases carb/ insulin. High insulin/ A1C has been linked to alzheimer's.
