Since the Capra demon showed up without the dogs, the game either A- considered them separate entities, just normal enemies or B- considered them separate bosses. If it's the later, it might make a few bossfights easier... But one bossfight very VERY hard

Honestly, if he just kept up the pressure with the bandit's knife, it would have been great against Capra Demon, since it's susceptible to blood loss. Though saying that, the Dark Hand is still far, far better in raw damage alone; especially at the start of the game. @@XescoPicas

You know what I especially like about Luke rerolling his character so he wouldn't have the bandits knife anymore? The Bandits Knife inflicts Bleed meaning if he stuck with it he likely could've made the fights at the beginning way quicker.

I absolutely love watching people play randomizers. Luke having to reroll because of a crappy starting weapon is hilarious. I can't wait to see what takes the Capra Demon's place. I hope it's something absolutely massive in that tiny room. I kind of feel bad for how much laughing I've done at the deaths to the Capra Demon and that popup screwing things up. I'd be so distracted by that demon under the floor constantly shaking the screen. That graveyard was hysterical, but at least the halberd is better than the spear. Yep, no rules in a randomizer, but I do love that you aggroed the NPC that is right by the main bonfire. Good job killing him. I love the absolute chaos of this so much. Had a smile on my face the whole time. Can't wait for the next ep. Rusty did an Elden Ring randomizer and I about died laughing so many times in it. Leveling up is almost pointless beyond hp and stamina unless you plan on going for a pure melee build, since you have no idea what you'll find in terms of spells and such.

@@torgranael Ooh, the potential chaos could be epic. O&S plus 2 Black Knights or 2 Dark Wraiths would be hysterical. I do think most Souls randomizers separate multiple phases, so it could be just phase 1 or phase 2 of a boss fight. I'm very excited to see what sort of nonsense we'll get to see.

Mechanically, yeah. The enemies are obviously less psychotic in vanilla non-randomized the opening of dark souls, but realistically this is how the game is played tbh. The only reason it’s as psychotic as it is, is because they are pulling in enemies from all points of the game at their power level at their original part of the game completely out of chronological order and player strength-scaling.

Randomizers are real tests of soulsborne skill and strategy. Because you really have to have an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the game and it’s enemies. Because your still playing it in the order you would normally play it in, provided you don’t randomize the location of key items, its just player strength scaling goes out the window when they’ll throw endgame loot at you and sometimes nearly impossible to beat for your level enemies in your way.

The enemies in this run are almost comically stacked against Luke. I burst out laughing at the enemies and their layout when approaching the bonfire at the end of the video. The magic sewer tunnel DLC enemy is laughably harder than the usual turned away rat where they are now.
