Salem is like 20 mins outside Boston! You should DEFINITELY do a day trip next time you're in Boston! Beautiful city, on the water, lots of history & culture.. it's exactly what you'd envision when you think of an old New England town in the Fall...Just don't go in October!

Great episode. Some important facts missed, probably due to a lack of time. Most of the events not only took place in Salem but also in Salem Village, now known as Danvers. Salem isn’t an hour from Boston but more like 40 minutes top on route 1. While Salem does use its allure as the witch city, it’s a pretty vibrant city with rich history which includes the House of Seven Gables which inspired Nathaniel Hawthorn’s novel of the same name. Salem State University’s history department located the actual site of the gallows where the those accused were hung and it’s not gallows hill but sadly on private property behind a CVS.

One last thing to add, the governor of the Massachusetts colony at the time largely put and end to the trials when his wife was accused of witchcraft.

The "original dead drummer" from Rush mentioned in the Comment World segment would be John Rutsy not Neil Peart. John Rutsy, who died in 2008 from diabetes related complications, was the original drummer for Rush and left the band in 1974 after their first album due to creative differences and health concerns related to diabetes. Neil Peart took over as drummer until the band's last tour in 2015. Neil died on Jan 7, 2020 of glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer.

Life hack.... If you are watching a utube show that has alot of commercials it will show a bunch of yellow spots on the time line . Just move the cursor past each one and they will disappear , then you can go back to the beginning and watch your show without any interruptions. Occasionally you will have watch one commercial but that's it. I have an Android and it works for me . My girlfriend has an iPhone and it doesn't work screw iPhone.
