I think this video as beautiful as two brothers care for each other even after joining the opposite army of each other

Lyrics (let me know if something’s not right or missing): Two little boys had two little toys Each had a wooden horse Gaily they played and ride everyday Warriors both of course One little chap had a mishap Broke off his horse's head He wept for the toy then cried with joy When he heard his brother say Do you think I could leave you crying When there's room on my horse for you Climb up here Jack and stop your crying We’ll mend up your horse with glue When we grow up we'll both be soldiers And our horses will not be toys And perhaps we'll remember When we were two little boys Long years had passed, war came at last Bravely they both marched away The cannon roared loud, and in that wild crowd Wounded and dying Jack lay Then came a cry, a rider dashes by Out from the ranks so blue He galloped away to the soldier in grey And Jack heard his brother say Do you think I could leave you dying When there's room on my horse for you Climb up here Jack, and stop your crying Don't be scared, I'll take of you And you see Jack I'm all a-tremble It may be the flash and the noise Or it may be because I remember When we were two little boys When we were two little boys...

its surprising how many civil wars cause such similar events, literally diving families and having members figuratively if not literally facing each other at opposite ends of a gun. excent work all the same how ever.

this happend more often than you'd think in the civil war. Family members who had different ideals might end up fighting each other, especially in the borderline states like Kentucky and Tennessee.

well , in America the civil war was sometimes brother against brother . sates rights or the union as a whole . two brothers could and did sometimes have different views of what the founding fathers intended the country to be . I heard a story of two brothers in west viginia who fought on different sides of the war both came home then shared a house for twenty five years and never spoke to one another again hope this helps

@animewerewolf84 I don't deny its importance, but I disagree with some states including it in their state flags. It is a symbol of division and continues to keep open a wound that should be closed. I can sympathize with many who felt that the central government would have been wielding too much power, but the banner itself was flown by armies that included heavily in slave owners and their kin and was heavily funded by these same people, taking honor away from the flag and making it feared.

Brotherhood is something that can't ever be truly broken. Even in times of war and conflict, at some point, it will come again. Brotherhood: it is the relationship shared by blood, emotions, events and soul. Unbreakable, unique, and powerful.

@animewerewolf84 Thank you and its that fact that makes that war even more bitter. Young men (and some women) dying for some morally corrupted group of people. Many honestly thought they were fighting and dying for justice, but it is sad that 1.1 million Americans were killed (600k) or wounded (500k) over something so wrong. That's more than any other US fought War, including both World Wars combined.

This song reminds me to a similar historic situation. In World War I, the Kaiser of Germany, the Tsar of Russia, and the King of England were cousins. When the Kaiser and the King were young they would play together in the fields of France. The Tsar got into the mix by marriage.

@blackgoddess123 But with a gallantry that DIDN'T have a place on those battlefields. It got men killed for no reason. I also oppose the very concept of Slavery with every fiber of my being! I do not and WILL NOT deny their courage. But the Southern 'Cause' and their fight for 'Independence' had been a terrible lie to get them to fight. I don't doubt many fought because they truly believe, but it was for the wrong reasons they WEREN'T TOLD about. That's why it's so sad... They died for nothing.

@FLJBeliever1776 are you sure? I mean the impacts of war are greater than just normal change. Didn't the war make it easier for slavery to be removed in some way? What brings us together will keep us apart, but the other way will also count. The world recognised the freeing of slaves greater because people died for it. Had there been no war, how would we know if that didnt mean alot of more racism today? Just a thought :)

@FLJBeliever1776 I must say i rather disagree with the flying of the flag on a state level but on a personal level I believe the Flag should be allowed as it is. Truth be told you are correct in the funding of the Army being funded by Slave Owning plantaion Owners. However the Fighting men were about 80% of non Slave Owners and in my home state of VA there were very few Slave Owners at all. Again I must say that I respect You and What you Believe my Yankee Brother. No my American Brother.

Civil wars and rebellions always split families up. Look up the story of the famous and still used military call, "taps." A Union officer's son was studying music in the south when the war broke out. Societal pressures lured the young student into joining the Confederate Army. After a battle which the North won, the officer found his son's dead body. In the boy's pocket was a few notes of music. Today, the tune, (or bugle call, to put it more accurately)as I mentioned, is called "Taps." Then there is the case of the 21st president, Chester Arthur. He was born in Vermont. His wife's family was from Virginia and her brothers had joined the Confederacy. They were planning to divorce when the war broke out, but she died of pneumonia before they could sign the papers.

Depends on what he got hit by, where he got hit, and how quickly he got to a doctor. However odds are not in his favor if he got hit in the torso or hip. If gangrene sets in odds are he will die, lead poisoning are the least of his worries. It appears he has been hit in his left arm, if he has been hit by a mini ball, which he likely has been, it will have to be amputated. He clearly has not been hit by a cannon ball because he would be dead.
