If it weren't for Khan Academy, I probably wouldn't have gotten into Berkeley to study Physics. All throughout middle and high school, I hated math, but now I absolutely adore math and I'll even do math in my free time. I am forever thankful Sal, thank you so much. I still remember watching this video from 9th grade.

Rushil Patel In high school, I've learned that just forcing yourself to do the work and studying whether you want to or not is the best way to go. I did a lot of volunteering and extra curriculars. I also participated in some state competitions for math and science.

Your teaching methods are way more interesting than teachers in school or tuition. Just a 9 minutes explanation video like this is better than a 2 hours of tuition. You just made me feel like maths is an interesting thing to do. You always use creative ways to explain the maths problems making them more understandable. Thank you!

Sal, I think you did a great job. I never had functions in my live before. I heard of them, but never attempted them. I liked the example because it was an abstract way of thinking how functions produce other results. I liked how you didn't jump right into the numerical explanation. I think the first explanation helped me understand functions better. Thank you

The sal(food) function may seem ridiculous, but in mainstream microeconomics (neoclassical), that's really what we do. The firm is a function, you put "stuff" into the firm and it produce things... like a firm(input) function :)
