White vinegar at 50% dilution will work just as well. Citric acid is useful for other tasks but is a bit pricey.

Useful information, I live where mineral build ups are an issue. Always nice to learn something new.

To check old Sodium Bicarbonate is still viable, put a small amount in say an egg cup. Add a small amount of Vinegar, it should bubble up straight away. If it doesn't its no good anymore.

Great video! Citric Acid powder is a must in every home. I use it to get hard water stains off glassware. I also clean my outdoor tile floor with it - I first wet the floor, then sprinkle citric acid powder on the floor, then scrub the floor with a broom, and then rinse the floor. It's awesome 😎

How do you use it to get rid of buildup on glassware?
@Yoav763 жыл бұрын
@@sn232 Hi, I just put a spoonful in the glass or whatever it is that I want to clean, add warm water, stir, then let it sit, and about 30 minutes later it's good as new

@@Yoav76 Thank you! Do you use a certain brand of powder? Definitely want to try this!
@Yoav763 жыл бұрын
@@sn232 you're very welcome. The brand doesn't matter as long as it's real genuine citric acid. You'll find it in any store that sells spices (because it's also used in certain recipes). It looks like regular salt. It makes everything look new and is great from removing stains from dishes or even your outdoor floors :-)

@@sn232 Use white vinegar in the spot-free rinse applicator of your dishwasher.

Ah, why didn't I think of this? I know I use vinegar and baking soda in my drain, but I also purchased citric acid last year for food stuff, but have yet to use it. I've cleaned the deposits off my electric kettles by boiling half water and half vinegar then let it sit until it's cooled to remove the deposits (sometimes I have to do multiple boils of the same mixture to get it all removed). Thanks for sharing!

Hey, I have the same model AeroGarden and have seemed to have lost my pump nozzle. Do you know where I could get a replacement?

Useful info but why would you spend 11 bucks for baking soda? You can buy a box at the grocery store for a dollar.
