I started on my lvl 200 char on ng+1 and they wrecked the shit outta me. Once you get the upgrades it does get easier but ng+7 on a first playthrough is gonna suck balls. Good luck with Mesmer

Ng+ does apply in the dlc the bosses in the files literally have different health depending on what Ng+ your on Ng+ last boss has 66k health

Everyone says that levels don’t matter, trust me they make a big difference. Obviously theirs different scaling, but those higher stats into your build hits those bosses way harder.

I have a question about the buff that death knight armor gives on lightning spells, does it work with all spells like red lightning? and do you need to have the complete set or are just a few pieces enough?

Yes red lightning is dragon cult incantations, each piece increase lightning damage i tested this myself, I use radagons icon, Godfrey icon, flock canvas talisman and lightning scorpion charm combine death knight armor with Gravel stone seals for alot of power and get the knights lightning spear incantation for a stronger and staggering version of lightning spear

That kindred of rot with the Moore quest actually isn’t dead initially and I think you’re supposed to heal it for his quest. When I found it I killed it on impulse and he actually invaded me there and dropped the armor, so you finding it next to dead bug might actually mean you failed his quest too

You can also get to the Castle Watering Hole shite of grace by coming the back way from the Church District Entrance on the Manus Metyr side of the map. You go through the flooded area, down into the Storehouse, and then make your way down to the bottom, take the elevator, and boom, you're on the bridge with the boats. No need to fight the hippo yet.

I need advice, i complete 4 playthroughs when this game came out and racked up around 300+ hours playing time. But i havent played since 2022. Is it worth me starting a new game before doing this? I cant really remember a lot about little things lol

The DLC is meant to be punishing without scadutree fragments and the revered spirit ashes. IMO as long as you are level 120+ it doesn't really matter what ng version you're on, you just have to grab those fragments or any enemy will kill you in about 2-3 hits. Also, I highly recommend respec vigor to 60 regardless of build.

@@ichigozangetsugrimmjozgqp9439 Frenzied flame took the longest to get. Firespark has the highest damage output. Deadly poison is really good, it applies quickly. All of them stagger human enemies and players. But they're slower than other weapons. I infused them with quickstep to close distance

Just want to let you know if you're farming that initial enemy for his armor and weapon when you start the dlc... do it at night. I didn't get a single drop during daytime but as soon as it was nighttime there was only 1 kill out of 20 that didn't have a drop. To me that's way beyond rng. It means something changes. To got from 0 of 20 - 19 of 20.

The Shield of Night, counters magic. If you block magic with it, it sends it back, but stronger (i believe). It will even send back melee magic. It doesnt just send those projectiles you were shooting.

Just keep progressing until you get to the last area. You will get invaded by many npcs including verdigris and they all drop loot if u kill them

It doesn’t matter what level your at even if your max level this dlc is hard for everyone. There’s a new leveling system with this dlc you have to collect the new scadutree fragments to boost up your attack and defense power

Yea every single mob and boss scale with your level so it’s kinda like an even fight every time, so you will never be over leveled for a boss fight

(Could also just be my 4000+ hours across just Bloodborne, elden ring and ds1) But yeah it will totally crush some players with less than 300 hours total on soulsborne games.

Unfortunately while the armor of night looks amazing it has awful poise and low defenses. I hate how important hitting 51 poise is because it completely invalidates a lot of armor sets.
