Brian, Niro EV does have the AC Charging speed on the app. Would need to test if it displays DC speed using public charger.

Cheers. So it would seem that the Facelifted Niro does have the charge speed,the previous e-Niro does not. I also need to test DC fast charging to do the same.

They really need to fix scheduled climate control, the fact you need to be plugged in and charging for it to run makes it absolutely useless

I’ve always avoided at all costs. It’s a real clunky pain the way it works or doesn’t.

Will your car turn the climate control on when you select it manually?

Yes. I can also leave it running,turn car off and then turn car on next morning with Remote Park Assist and it will start climate as i left it set.

Also, there is no dark mode, and you STILL cannot turn on the heated seats via the app, the car is warm, but the seats are usually still cold when I get to the car.

@@evodessey Me too. It works for a day or two then doesn't for no apparent reason. I gave up trying to figure it out. I have a dumb home charger too, so that isn't the problem.

I had an update on my Apple on Sunday. Now version 2.1.20 and the vehicle setting are no longer on there. Luckily I turned off daylight saving before the update 😀. Don't know about status bar, haven't charged yet. I have a Soul Explorer 2022.

2.1.20 has been on my iPad for 3 months so the equivalent version 2.1.21 is due soon. Strange that you only got 2.1.20 now.

@@evodessey I took it that it has been updated. I got a notification on 25 Oct and obviously something must have been done has the vehicle setting to have gone.

The Vehicle Settings have been intentionally removed. I sent an email to the Kia app support and they told me that it has been removed due to low usage.

Cheers for the info. That’s because you only normally set them up once when you get the car. Maybe they did not consider that. I did email them but did not get an answer.

I have discovered a potential bug in the new app version for Android: Pre-Update, I set the max. DC charge limit to 80% in the app. In my first charging run post-update, I set the DC charge limit to 90% in the car's infotainment system, but the app still sent me the "10 minutes to charging end" message that was tied to the 80% limit. So, the DC charge limit obviously still was stored on a server, whereas the new limit obviously only had been saved locally in my car. I hope that KIA will fix this, or any app messages wrt charging end are pointless. It must be said that I often used this setting option in the app - and I wouldn't be surprised if others did the same. So much for a "rarely used option". This is for an EV6 MY '23.

Don't know if you know Brian but the app is also very different depending on what year the ev6 is. Maybe you could look into this, as I find it really annoying that cause I have a 23reg car it is missing features that say the 24reg ev6 has.

@evodessey Someone posted a 12v battery issue on Facebook and screenshot the app. I'll try and find the post, but it was a month ago. One of the features her app showed was the open/close status of the windows. Which I really need, especially living on a rainy peninsula and children that like to open the windows. Her car was a gtls 24 plate (not refresh) and she was in the UK. I assume we can never have such info, as I assume we are missing the sensor. It wasnt the only feature that I'm missing, but I find it odd that no one else has mentioned it.

Kia,Just sort the schedule charging out on the app it’s terrible and resets itself after a few days! Why is it so hard.

The Bluelink (for Hyundai) is out now with Android version 2.0.20, and that, too, no longer has the 'Vehicle settings'. So from now on we have to sit in the vehicle and make changes and not from the couch. :-(

I saw the release notes for this earlier. So much more detail than the Kia ones "New remote services have been added (1) Remote Lights & Remote Horn&Lights: for all vehicles with connected car services (2) Remote Windows: for the vehicles with power-safety windows equipped in all four windows (3) Remote Ventilation: only for certain vehicles, including Staria and New Tucson with ccNC (Connected Car Navigation Cockpit) Added charging completion alert for PHEVs Fixed an issue where the vehicle status incorrectly displayed as "not plugged in" while V2L was in use"

I have (on my IONIQ 5) remote warning lights and lights & horn as two new buttons in 'Remote'. I have not tried it as it is late evening. ;-) Wonder how to turn them off again. Well, time will show as I will have a go tomorrow.

It appeared after the Android Kia Connect App update. iOS is still not out yet. Also depends on the model. Niro EV seems to show it & EV6 onwards but not older e-Niro. So not server side as far as i can tell.

Can you limit the charging power on the EV6? If so, what's the minimum? Also, I'm shortly ordering an EV6 on a company work scheme. Have the security flaws all been resolved now (stolen cars with a game boy time device)? Thanks

Yes,the example in this video is set to 60% which is 4.4kW

I have a 2021 e-Niro and while I do see the pulsating blue SoC bar, I do not see the charging speed. It just says "AC charging" for me. Bummer.

New version for iOS has still not appeared . Android is one version ahead 2.1.21
