My EV3 is arriving between 11th and 14th of November. So hopefully I will have it by next weekend.

I've ordered the EV3 last month, was told to arrive at end of Decenber, also MOT here in Portugal is 4 years for the first, and then 2 years interval, after 8 years it's once a year

On paper this EV3 is everything I need and want, but man I really don’t like the looks of post EV6 Kia’s, so my EV6 GT will probably be my one and only Kia…

Hi I have an EV6 brought around the same time as you brought yours. I have an issue with the boot and I wonder if you have experienced the same. The issue is the boot opens as soon as it reaches the top of its travel. it comes back down

Mine is fine. These is a procedure in manual for resetting the boot system apparently but i’ve never been able to find it. I will have a dig.

My local dealership is being refurbished at the moment so they’ve nowhere to put it. They tell me they’ve not taken the protective wrapping off yet. Test driving next week.

Money down the drain???? Last week i contacted the Kia dealer from whom i paid a slightly inflated price here in australia to be one of the first in australia to own an ev6 (AUS$78.000) to get a trade in price on the new EV5… at first the manager told me that they wouldn’t trade it in as “we have too many unsold new ev6’s and also many demo models .i asked how can i upgrade to the ev5???? Later i spoke to the owner who said that he could go as high as $30,000 as i was a friend and pioneer customer. That’s nearly a $50,000 bath in just 2.5 years . As i said once ….pioneers come back with arrows in their back…last ev car i will buy…as i will have to keep it for at least6-7 years and once the 7year warentee is up the car will be worth $0…zero zip. How is the trade in value of ev6 gtline rwd going in other countries.expensive ev sale have ground to a halt here in aust. Cheap Chinese brands doing the bulk of the business. Starting at AUS$32k dealers want $66k for a 23year new ev6 gtline rwd. From now on im recommending NOT to buy an EV unless you’ve got a lot of cash to flush.

Sorry to hear that. Used prices in the UK are quite volatile in general. But not all of them. My car is 3 years old next week. I paid £48000 in November 2021. My car’s last valuation a few weeks ago was £29,000. Not quite on 16k miles. My only realistic option when i change is to do a PCP deal which is a kind of leasing in UK and just use the money i get out of the EV6 to lease the next car then return it and move onto the next one in the same way. My EV6 price has held up quite well because Kia UK raised the price of my model to £51k after i bought it. Another example is my wife’s 2018 Renault Zoe EV. Purchased in 2020 for £17k. All through pandemic it held it’s price at £15k. Last year down to 9k,this year 6k. Checked last week was £2,900😮 So i feel i’ve been lucky with my EV6 price. Our used prices started to tumble after the pandemic when a lot of Tesla and other models came off 3 year leases. Not sure of all of the factors in the Australian Market. I feel the PCP route is the better option going forward because the dealer sets out the Guaranteed future value in the agreement at the very start. At the end of the agreement you can purchase the car of just give it back.

I am in the same boat. But I would be happy to own my EV6 7-2022 for some years to come. Desite the problems we have had with it...

So this ONE dealer did not offer you a good price and you gave up and started whining. You did not ask any other dealers for offers. You did not try to privately sell. Somehow I don’t think the car or the used market prices are the problem. The problem is you.
