What trim level do you think you would go for with the KIA SOUL EV? let us know in the comments 🤗

I've run my Kia SoulEV MAXX (2022) Since July 22. It's been absolutely faultless. At 39k however, It's really hard to justify the Kia SoulEV Explore as my model came in at a mere(!) 32k. The Kia Soul EV is definitely a like it or hate it car for looks, but my goodness, it's an efficient, comfortable, very well equipped and spacious EV. I've had 4.1 miles Per kWh over my 19,00 miles of driving and regularly see 300 miles in the summer months with an average of about 250-260 in the winter. I'm a gigging drummer and the Soul EV works absolutely perfectly for large loads (with rear seats down). I absolutely love mine and would highly recommend anyone looking to get one to consider the 2020 first edition or the 2022 MAXX over the newer models. You get the same kit as the Explore and will get a great car with loads of KIA warranty for 20-25k. It will be a shame to see the Kia Soul EV go later in the year with the arrival of the Kia EV3 but, this car is definitely old generation tech and is clearly behind the times compared to the likes of the Kia EV6, EV9. I highly recommend this EV, Glad to see it reviewed.

I agree, with the rear seats down flat on my 2020 First Edition, it's like a minivan. Since you're a musician, have you noticed very few reviewers comment on the excellent built-in sound system? It's 1 of the best stock fitted out there.

@@desirodriver6651 Great point! The sound system is superb!! It's a brilliant all-round EV. I'll miss these when they're discontinued in the near future.

Have wanted one for years. Replaced my Skoda Yeti and picked up a 21 plate First Edition last year for £24k, ex courtesy car with a dealer. It is fantastic, I love it. My husband thinks I'm quite nuts with horrible taste in "boxy" cars, but he asks to drive it all the time. He has a BMW i4. Heh.

We have an explore and love it. It stands out as different and is incredibly practical. We got a fridge freezer in the back. It reminded us of the Skoda Yeti. We fit 3 adults on the back seats as well.

it's so annoying with English reviewers hating Soul's looks so much - the squarish shape is actually very nice, it looks funky and cute, practical and much cooler than, say Niro or any other run of the mill car nowadays that all look alike and boring. the two tone paint is also nice, never seen any English reviewer complaining about this with Mini or Defender ... which are also different looking cars but never heard anyone moan about it ...

It’s does drive great. It’s looks are subjective I get it! But IMO this isn’t funky or fresh, it’s completely different to any of its other models. The design language doesn’t carry over! I do explain in this video how it does have a place in the market. And I get why people like it and think it’s cute. I appreciate you chatting to us and sharing your opinion. This is whats great about cars having these conversations and hearing what people think. Thanks for leaving us a comment 🤗

Got a 2022 Soul Maxx which has all the tech and power of the Explorer. So 2nd hand buy is brilliant value. Gets a smile on your face everytime you drive it the 280miles per charge at £3.50p on my Ohme home charger.

The first thing made me fall in love with this car was its looks particularly the red & black one I saw in Germany.

I have the Maxx I just love it, powerful and boxy spacious. It's the perfect car for driving around town and brings a smile when driving. I share your comments about the hideous back, not only does it let the rest of the car down but is a dirt magnet with green mould growing in the tailgate hinge and dirt collecting around the light fittings. In addition there is a recess below the tailgate around the registration plate that is a dirt magnet. If not for that it would be my perfect EV card.

It’s a great shape, I’m loving it. It’s the only car that you can drive whilst wearing a top hat.

Having got an enNiro 4+ you can stuff your underwhelming NiroEV grade 2. I want the sunroof (not on a Soul) heated seats, heated steering wheel etc.

You see a lot of these shaped cars in places like Japan. I like them because the shape is functional and it's different but at £39K for the top spec with 280 miles of range you might as well get a single motor Telsa Model 3 with 318 miles range for about the same price.

Hi Jake thanks for the comment. You make a good point. It still seems pretty expensive for this type of car, that’s why I think the lower level trim would always be the one to go for unless your in love with the shape. Thanks for chatting to us much appreciated 🤗

It doesn't appear in the range in Spain. Is it being discontinued?

Are you saying that in Spain you don’t have the option of a Kia Soul EV?

I have this car and it has front sensor plus front radar.

Sorry ERROR! Your regen figures are NOT miles they are Kws and decimal parts thereof. '1.2' is 1Kw and 2 watts
