I'm intending on getting my teenager a rescue cat next year when they leave home for Uni. The place they'll be living is a student co-op, where pets are allowed and they'll be able to study there for all 5 years of their course. It's a huge secret, it's all they desperately want and they're completely in the dark about it. Looking forward to seeing the look on their face!
