This is probably the best thing Kid Rock has ever done. Great combination of rock, rap, catchy chorus, it's not too fast, not too slow and even 22 years later, it still sounds fresh and not like an out-of-fashion product of its time. This just works.

Released in 1998 from the album 'Devil Without A Cause'. His first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 82, while reaching number 10 on the Mainstream Rock charts. The song is considered to be one of Kid Rock's best works, and has been claimed as greatly influencing modern country music as the first country rap song.

Hello how long have you been a fan of my music?
@Ryannjrb2 жыл бұрын
The whole album has a clear, crisp sound. And a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the song a big boost. He’s been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Kid Rock has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In 98’, Kid Rock released this, “Devil without a cause” (their most accomplished album). I think their undisputed masterpiece is “Cowboy”; a song so catchy, most people probably don’t listen to the lyrics. But they should! Because it’s not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends. It’s also a personal statement about the band itself. HEY PAUL!

I can't really say any certain Kid Rock song is my favorite, cuz I love them all. This one stands out with it's message and both he and Cheryl are all natural, the way I feel they look best. I do want to comment to Melony Arnold that I'm very aware that this is my Playlist, and she just did a little switching around, and she will probably be confronted by KZbin about copyright issues.
