Back in 1996 my stainless 10/22 was taken in stupid buy back,so i bit pissed off,but to have good 22 repeater i souched browning trumbo, rate fire is good when practice, still my bunny buster.

I have a Kidd 10/22. I accurately shoot targets to 200 yards with it. Not saying I’d hunt or anything, but it will accurately punch a hole in paper to 200 yds sub moa. To me that’s pretty impressive.

The KIDD barrels have a proprietary match chamber. You'll find most standard velocity ammo will shoot better than higher velocity. Standard velocity ammo is generally built for target and encompasses adjusted dimensions for use with match chambers. Most High velocity ammo (with exceptions to some HV offerings from manufacturers that specialized in target grade ammo like SK, Eley, and Lapua) is designed around the larger sporter chamber. So Im not surprised the Winchester HV stuff shot with flyers as its design has no emphasis on match chambers. Aside from that their rimfire ammo is about the worst stuff in circulation with regard to consistency and reliability.

I wonder how they would limit it to 7 when the 10 round rotary mag, comes with the rifle? anyway, mate I live in Tennessee. Not the coolest place in the world but I just stated getting back into firearms and im glad I don't have the restrictions you poor bastards have. When i was a kid we would shoot 10/22s up on my uncles farm in Tamworth all summer long. The old man had a mini 14 at one point! Sadly John Howard decided what was best for us one day and our fun was over. Sadly I doubt those days will ever return to Oz, I hope im wrong though! I currently own a 10/22, an 870 shotgun and a Glock 19, next will be a mini 14 but they run about 700-800 bucks so that ones gonna have to wait ;) cheers

Yeah I heard that after NY brought in registration, all gun owners who had over 7 round magazines (ie. 44mag lever actions at 10 rounds) were sent a letter telling them to surrender their firearms. Just ridiculous but that's what the antis truly believe is saving lives... but yes, you are in the better place for gun ownership that's for sure. Who knows what will happen down here in Australia but basic mathematics suggests that with the sheer number of firearm owners, we have the numbers to influence any election. It's just getting all gun owners to vote together and we would see the politicians gaining power who would make the changes we want... so I guess time will tell

Can't use more than 10 rounds on a Cat C for 22lr, but can use a 25 shot mag on a cat a & b license. dem laws.

yeah the laws have done nothing to prevent mass shootings as they say at all.. how does banning semi auto cure crazy? someone could still do it because a bolt or a pump can be reloaded faster than people can run. There was a mass shooting in the uk a few years back and the guy had a bolt action .22 and a side by side 12g. The checks is what does it not the stupid restrictions.

JammyGuns yep the UK like Australia has a massive illegal gun problem also. The only true way to control them is to have them legal know who has them and where they are. They claim gun violence is down but it's down world wide and NZ with nearly the exact same crime decrease since 96 shares no waiting periods and no restrictions or registration but hss a more effective licence vetting system. is the perfect example!
