I’m a big fan and just bought a guitar of yours a 1993 fender Stratocaster made in Japan malmsteen guitar.. the black guitar case has your name on it and says under your name, fender, malmsteen . it has your letterhead and your signature on it from Reverb .. says you acknowledged it was your Guitar.. Por mais que eu ame o Megadeth, é minha banda favorita de metal, é inegável como o Kiko é muito maior do que a banda. Com certeza sua criatividade e musicalidade era muito limitada pela banda, seu estilo e seu dono. Quem perdeu foi a banda, eu lamentei sua saída, mas também fiquei feliz pelo Kiko e espero que ele continue crescendo cada vez mais.

Kiko no Megadeth é tipo o Trujillo no Metallica. Dois maluco muito maior que a banda, musicalmente, mas que os patrão bota na coleirinha. Me admira até que o Mustaine deixou o Kiko fazer "Conquer or Die!" no Dystopia. Eu entendo querer manter um "padrão" pra banda, mas se você chama um músico pra ser integrante e não deixa ele trazer a bagagem dele pra suas músicas, é mais fácil você só contratar um guitarrista de estúdio logo.

Thank you Kiko, for inviting me to watch the video and leave a comment and let you know my thoughts on this composition process and if I like the song. I really really enjoyed watching the video. The song is absolutely stunning and I love the composition process as well. I could write many many words here with all my thoughts though will just share a few. The composition process you and Plini both embraced seems really organic. I feel both of your personalities helped each other to achieve your goal, and mutual respect and world class musicianship and knowledge as well. I love the way you both keep sharing your thoughts about the evolution of the song and how open you both are and receptive to possibilities and exploring yet also keeping a clear focus on the goal as a whole as well. A perfect balance. I think working with another musician who inspires you and who you also inspire can really help keep the positive energy flowing and positive energy and belief is needed to complete a task like this that is a first. I found it interesting that you used your musical memories rather than recording the whole jam. EVH had to record all his jams eventually as when his bandmates asked him what he just played, he couldn't always remember so he always had the record light on to make sure he could! Plini asked what Kiko had just played, with the arpeggiated chords. I think having two world class musical talents in the same room, makes it easier to pick up things that have just been played as you're both speaking the same language, even though paradoxically you are both also speaking your own language. It's a fusing together of great musical minds and musical souls and I think this is captured in the softer, beautiful moments of the song whilst the evil sound as Plini called it - I prefer to use the word dark sounding - can be representative of overcoming struggles to find the light. The different moods in the composition really enhance it. I could write so much more though have a piano course to continue this evening and recording for my collaboration composition with Esther Abrami as well. I am super grateful again to Kiko for inviting me to comment. Great job as always MR and great job Plini as well. I look forward to you inviting world class musicians and some of your heroes and possibly some of your mentees or a new opportunity for musican/composers to write with you as well to write a song in a day with you and you making an album if you choose to with this as well. I find it very interesting and authentic to see the composition process between two masters. It clarifies the panorama of good practices and the diverse ways that can be there when composing. Obviously, it is all a day summarized in 20 minutes, however it is excellent. It would be great to continue seeing these composition and production processes by the hand of Kiko. Many more successes for you, maestro!

Excellent creative process. A ‘weird blues’ references a great percentage of music that communicates I/IV/V directly or in inversion: i.e. harmonic function. Fascinating that creative processes from any culture reinforces this.
