KILL BILL VOL 1 & 2 DEEP DIVE PART 1
Ty Franck (one half of James S.A. Corey) and Wes Chatham ('Amos Burton' on The Expanse) kickoff a long series of Quentin Tarantino films with the epic Kill Bill films. Of course, Wes had to do something different and screwed up the order of things... but we still love him anyway.

As a child of early Anime that section was absolutely brilliant and lifted the film for me. Kill Bill is a mixture of some of Quinton's favorite forms of entertainment and Anime is just one piece to his love letter of a film.

Like many others, I came here because of The Expanse. But I've watched every episode and will keep watching because of your passion towards movies. You are so passionate in fact it's infectious. I'm actually watching both Kill Bills after this. Thanks for what you are doing and who you are.

I think the flute Bill plays is similar, if not the actual one that David Carradine used in the series Kung Fu.

Love you guys. Never mentioned Oren and Beatrix being close friends. "Silly rabbit..." and the fact Oren was the first kill...they were truly friends. Also think about that she and Vernita were definitely not, nor Elle or Bud. Oren was someone Beatrix considered a friend. It's all over their final battle too. Great films, and discussion. Well done!

I have no doubt O-Ren and the Bride used to be friends. However, she was first on the list because she was "the easiest to find," per the Bride. After she extracted the info from Sofie she needed, she had the locations of the other three DIVAS except for Bill . . .

It’s implied that the man in white in the anime is Bill with the same rings and katana sheath. Oren possibly didn’t see his face or was so focused on boss Matsumoto, she never realized years later working for him. It would also add to the dispute between Hanzo and Bill that was never really revealed. I think Hanzo saw all the death and suffering that Bill went on to do and he felt ashamed that it was with the sword he most likely made for Bill.

David Carradine, been watching the 70s Kung Fu series. Very cool! Grasshopper always carried his hand made bamboo flute strapped over his shoulder.

13:14 C'mon guys. This isn't rocket science here. I think its very obvious why Hattori and Bill had a falling out. Even though Hattori was this great sword maker, and he understood they would be used to take lives. He still expected those who used to them, to do so with discipline and respect. Bill had 2 swords that he got from Hattori, one his and one he gave to his brother. And Bill used those swords to become an assassin, to kill indiscriminately. And with the swords that Hattori Hanzo created, many many people would lose their lives. That is why he vowed to never make another instrument of death. He felt partially to blame for the needless deaths of so many. Now the part about this story line that is unclear to me, was when Beatrix called Bill a former student of Hattori's. What does that mean? Did he teach Bill how to make swords? That seems odd and unlikely. To become a master sword smith, it takes years of intense training. Bill wouldn't invest that much time into that. And we already know that Pai Mei trained Bill. So what exactly was Bill a student of under Hattori Hanzo?

Tarantino's "Kill Bill" saga is awesome, but it can't hold a candle or even "Various Small Flames" to James O. Incandenza's "Blood Sister: One Tough Nun." . . . A few minutes after I was typing that I realized that the name of Lucy Liu's character is a likely a reference to Wallace's canonical film auteur's middle name.

Kill Bill and North By Northwest are my two favorite movies because they've had the biggest impact on my view of film and my writing. Love Kill Bill so much, which I consider to be one movie as it was intended to be.

I thought the kill bill movies were more of spaghetti westerns, only set in modern times with Asian martial arts.
