And actually, it’s MORE dangerous to have a dull blade, since it won’t slice through food as easily and is more likely to slip or not cut directly downward and cut your fingers
@mytherrus2068
@mytherrus2068 3 жыл бұрын
Also, dull blades don't cut your skin, but rip through it creating more damage. A cut from a sharp blade bleeds less and heals faster than a comparably deep cut from a dull blade.
@blueflamefae7898
@blueflamefae7898 3 жыл бұрын
A cut from a dull blade will also be incredibly more painful because it rips through your skin and doesn’t cut. Pain is more prominent from rough surfaces. A cut from an incredibly sharp, smooth blade will definitely not be as painful.

The whole thing with Charybdis is that you have to sail exactly between it and Scylla, but if you're stuck with no other choice, go toward Scylla. She'll kill a few people, Charybdis will destroy the ship. Charybdis is occasionally described as a giant mouth and we do know she was originally a nymph or at least no what she is now.

Not a correction, just an expansion Elrond had a twin brother, Elros. They both had to choose whether to live as elves or as humans. 3:30 _Arya Stark avenging the death of Syrio Forel._ Um, actually you never see Syrio dead in the show _or_ in the book. In fact, there’s implications in the book that Syrio escapes Meryn Trant because he’s grumpy following House Stark’s slaughter.

Um Actually, Depending on the composite of the knife and/or specific blade, you should either use a honing tool or a whetstone and not a combination of the two. However, a whetstone is the general preferred sharpening method of most professional kitchens. Also, I got 8 wizards and was pretty pleased with myself.

No. A Whetstone and a honing tool are used for different objectives. A Whetstone is for sharpening a honing tool is used for honing (straightening an already formed edge)

Um, Actually: what Becca said at the end is probably the worst knife-care advice you could listen to. Sharp knives are indefinitely safer than dull knives, as dull knives require more force to achieve the same results as a sharp knife, which means they are more prone to slipping and consequently more likely to cause injuries, and on top of that they don’t cut cleanly, which can result in far more damage to your tissue, as it’s essentially tearing it and not just cleanly slicing it.

technically you can use a break pad to sharpen a knife , you can also use the bottom of a mug or ceramic plate , a welding rod , the back side of a tile and many more house hold items ,as for honing you can use the edge of a sink , the edge of a mug , the edge of a tile can also work though not as good , I've also used a stainless steel for or spoons handle ,the spine of another knife and the list goes on . I like to add that i do have a variety of honing steels and many wet stones in my house but i am often too lazy to reach over to the drawer they are at when there is a mug right in front of me .I am a very lazy procrastinating person

Man, dragons are awesome for breaking a game. You really gotta throw those things out there and see what happens more often. I'm in one party where we rescued a young white dragon who'd been captive by some Kobold's since hatching and wanted out. She's tagged along cause we keep feeding her and giving her a share of the loot. Then she drew from the deck of many things...and...got the Balance card. NOW she's Lawful Good. Who'da guessed.

5:55 Uhm actually, the anatomical differences between dragons and wyverns (like the four versus two legs) is a highly debated subject and is extremely subjective to which fantasy we are talking about. In many realms, they are the same thing, in many others they aren't. As Trapp didn't actually specify the setting, the question is ambiguous (but we all know it's DnD).

Their banter about "half-elf" in LotR is surprisingly accurate. Yeah, the Valar thought this is such a rare incidence that they could just be their own thing. It also specifically means in their bloodline that an immortal half elf can choose mortality. Elrond's brother did so and it led to Aragorn's bloodline.
