And actually, it’s MORE dangerous to have a dull blade, since it won’t slice through food as easily and is more likely to slip or not cut directly downward and cut your fingers
@mytherrus20683 жыл бұрын
Also, dull blades don't cut your skin, but rip through it creating more damage. A cut from a sharp blade bleeds less and heals faster than a comparably deep cut from a dull blade.

A cut from a dull blade will also be incredibly more painful because it rips through your skin and doesn’t cut. Pain is more prominent from rough surfaces. A cut from an incredibly sharp, smooth blade will definitely not be as painful.

6:50 I actually can remember the last time I fought a dragon in D&D! sure it's been a while, but Lost Mines of Phandelver lives up to the Dragons part of the name at some point lol.

Um actually, the honing steel is used to straighten the “bur” that creates a sharp edge on the knife, and 1-2 years is a long time to not actually sharpen a frequently used knife.

5:55 Uhm actually, the anatomical differences between dragons and wyverns (like the four versus two legs) is a highly debated subject and is extremely subjective to which fantasy we are talking about. In many realms, they are the same thing, in many others they aren't. As Trapp didn't actually specify the setting, the question is ambiguous (but we all know it's DnD).

Their banter about "half-elf" in LotR is surprisingly accurate. Yeah, the Valar thought this is such a rare incidence that they could just be their own thing. It also specifically means in their bloodline that an immortal half elf can choose mortality. Elrond's brother did so and it led to Aragorn's bloodline.

I was focusing so hard on them saying you should only sharpen your knife every 2-4 uses, that I missed that the whetstone was a break pad. Um, actually, you should sharpen your knife before every use and you don't need a honing steel to do it.

Caught between the Syilla and Caribdous. In the Police song. The Syilla, who shrieked from the sea rocks, drove boats over so that Caribdous could eat them.

I was so happy when she knew what a niffin was, and that The Magicians were basically mentioned two times in one episode (Q being one of the wizards). I never hear anywhere about it, and the show is amazing. I think in episode with Siobhan, Julia was there as a witch on the board. I really need to rewatch it!
