I hate this world. I hate how people will allow tragedies like this to happen before they’ll bear the scorn that comes from saying something unpopular but true. Do not doubt for one second, this kind of thing happens because of cowardice. People would rather be liked than be moral, decent and honest. They would rather have a life destroyed than offend a single person. It’s a horrible situation. Please try to remember, if this world hates you for telling the truth it hated Him (God) first. Stand up for what is right, even if it costs you. A man is not a woman nor a woman a man (physiology decides gender not psychology). That this even has to be stated is ridiculous.

Sorry she got hurt, but many people get hurt when they play sports. Some football players and others have gotten killed. I am a female who is transgender, and there are a TON of CISGENDER women who are WAY TALLER AND STRONGER than I will ever be. Peyton had turned her pain into harm and bigotry. She needs to go to college and stop hating on an already vulnerable population and becoming yet another blonde, white Karen.

Comments have obviously been deleted, the amount you can see, hardly any, don’t match up to tally. People ask why they didn’t take her immediately to hospital. The parents were home, why didn’t the coaches etc take her to hospital I would have thought that would have been at the top of their priorities. Look at injuries on Ice Hockey players. They are immediately shipped off to hospital. My thoughts are that the parents had no idea of her 30 second unconscious state. I reckon if they had they’d have taken her asap.

As a former high school volleyball coach I have some serious questions about why Payton was where she was on the court. Presumably she is the weakside hitter and should have been up at the net blocking. She's not. Only the middle blocker on Payton's team is making an attempt to block. The coach's strategy to pull Payton off the net and have her cover at the 10 foot line is what put her in danger of a hard hit ball like that. I feel bad for any kid getting hurt, especially when it could have been avoided, had she received proper coaching. I hope Payton's coach and school have taken measures to address player safety as part of their coaching strategies within all their athletic programs.

You clearly don't feel that bad bc you're out here victim blaming and running interference to avoid addressing the obvious cause of this injury. My sister played volleyball. I've seen enough games to know players get out of position, dive for balls, and occasionally take spikes to the face. The variable that caused this injury was a biological man playing on a woman's team, not a player being out of position (which happens frequently without paralyzing injuries).
