Blades of Khaine has been able to move 7, move through friendly operatives, and been able to overwatch/guard with Dire Avengers without minus to BS. Now all elf teams can do all these things, and all the rest of the teams can also do the latter two. I really hope they find some way of compensating blades for losing these somewhat unique traits.

Thats acatully a Huge change to HotA with the new pain token and power from pain change, specifically Dark Animus. Before you had to incap an enemy then you either dashed to cover or banked it for Dark Animus 3 APL and hope he didnt get blasted before the next activation because Animus was ONLY useable when the operative actives. Now it seems like you can pop it any point during the turn which means you can charge fight and mission action/shoot if you killed the enemy or fall back if the ploy to reduce fallback to 1APL is still around. WAYYYY more flexible

You seemingly forgot to mention that most of their pistols now have a range of EIGHT not SIX!!! SO COOL! Also you glossed over how "prey on the wounded" for HotA now gives you relentless if you target them and they are WOUNDED, not "has half or fewer of its wounds remaining" anymore. Very happy about that!

Its soooooo good to see some 7" and 8" on these datacards, love that. Corsairs looking good, looks like a lot of their abilities got a D3 upgrade. Blades look the same apart from the Exarch change, given the Mandrake leader change they may have removed leaders improved WS/BS across the game, remains to be seen. Also its funny to me that BoK is just Scorpions in the picture cause thats whats in the box :D Torrent seems to have stayed the same which is a shame and to be fair to that aspect technique you only ever get just one additional enemy operative with it... Hand of Archon get that lovely adendum to their faction ability, makes Pain tokens more prevalent and more fun :D Mandrake look like their current version, although having come out earlier this year, having no changes isn't that surprising even if it was expected, especially if their solo box comes out with KT3.0. Overall a nice preview and a fun video, I don't have a lot of expirience with KT so its nice to hear opinions from someone who is at the top of the game.

Thx for your previews and for sharing your professional thoughts! Can't wait for the new edition. Although i still be angry about the fact, that GW let the compendium teams down. I didn't get it why they not port them to KT3.0 and send them to ...lets say legacy. So tournament player like you have to take the newer teams but for games with friend or beginners you still could use them! Hope they will get a "fan-rework" in the near future! :)

I think mandrakes lost the Shadow Teleport Unique Action, since the leader doesn't have it on their card. The ShadowWeaver, can probably still make the shadow portal though. Also small question, do you think that Hand of the Archon's pain point ability can still do re-rerolls? cuz it says that they can still do Stimulated Senses (which is the reroll invigoration) but I don't see it on the new invigorations list. Torrent is pretty much like blast now. Anyone within torrent 2 of the primary target that's a valid target is a secondary target. Much easier to get off now

Kind of sad to see Exarch lose hitting on 2+. Being substantially worse than a space marine sergeant is pretty frustrating, especially when scorpions as a dedicated melee unit have only 4 attacks :( Maybe leaders in general have lost hitting on one better?

As someone facing a lot of 32mm teams with chainweapons, the Corsair rules which assume that you want to be in melee and other people want to flee you are not exactly making me gleeful.

It's just a nice tech tool IMO

Its a useful deterrent. You can't make your enemy fallback, so you aren't setting this up to force wounds. Its a punishment for elite units falling back and leaving you in the open, or for squishy units that barely survived from getting away. Its also 2d3 per allied operative so just 2 units in melee against someone tanky has to stay stuck in melee or leave with 8~ wounds.

@@neostrider2003 Does that actually happen to you? Falling back wastes 2 AP, obliterating your unit only costs 1 AP. Why would a Fellgor or a Legionary ever even consider using fallback? Even the unarmed space marines are more than capable of killing a Corsair in a single round of combat. If you then tie their fallback to wounds, killing your guy goes from the logical choice to a no brainer.

The rifle rule is a bit strange. Effectively this only buffs the sniper and the leader if he forgoes his pistol and takes the rifle. Because all other operatives don't have access to Shuriken Rifles, only pistols. Or am I missing something? Yes, warrior Operatives can take rifles, but you don't actually take warriors.

When shooting with the sniper who I assume still hits on 2's you might not go for the auto hit at all, to get more chance for a crit

Its a little more incentive to skip the bird, maybe the dual swords or healer. If you know what're playing against or map you might favor range more and warrior is plenty good at shooting.

I actually prefer the rifle on the felarch as it gives a bit more ranged options and the weapon itself isn't too bad.

The funny noise you are making about Corsair movement is killing me. The striking scorpions/aspect warriors… are a bit limp still? Hands of Archon love the pain token change, happy days for them.

I love my Crimson duelist, but maybe this prevents her from being too insane and it’s better to adapt to it at the start rather than in the middle of the season. Objectively speaking having a free fight with potentially a 10” charge (if the elixicant drugs remain the same) and either 3 apl or a dash after fighting twice, all while being one of the best duelist in the game is a bit too much.
