Do you like the pedal train pedal boards?
@GearGasms6 ай бұрын
I do except the smallest ones aren’t tall enough to get a power supply under. I had to add on stool leg end cups as feet

So, I had to comment this! I’m a 100w EVHIII el34 owner, and I agree that red channel is SOOO noisy! I’m here for it brother!

Zvex Loop-Gate is the fastest cleanest noise gate I've tried... but I dig one knobbers... Lichtlaerm Audio The Key and The Gate is the winner over the Fortin Zuul

The NS2 is OK, but the Boss NS-1X is far better IMO. It has both a gate and a suppressor, and more customization options, so it replaced 4 other more expensive noise pedals I had purchased for various uses.

Yeah I agree but it was more than I had budgeted

I was not informed noise suppression was necessary after purchasing my first Strat 🎸/ amp combo several decades ago‼️ like everyone I found out the hard way Allan 👉 single coil vs humbucker pickups 👉 how is a young kid suppose to know Alan❓ I was NOT happy Alan ‼️ kudos for making a great informative video 👍 on this little Gem 🔷 noise cancelling is necessary‼️
@GearGasms6 ай бұрын
My early years were all humbuckers and low noise clean amps so I had even less of a clue!

@@GearGasms when living in a Section 8 trailer park in the 1980s with Jed Clampett N Cartrights N Uncle Festus 👉 humbuckers and clean amps were...NOT AFFORDABLE ALAN ‼️ it's not called the "dirty channel" for nothin 😂 have a splendid weekend Mr Alan B‼️☮️✌️

I use the fortin zull or the guptech noise gate But if you haven't tried it, the magic in the pedal board is the MXR ten band e q in the loop it's a game changer... I will never play another amp without it
@GearGasms6 ай бұрын
I keep hearing that so maybe I’ll have to try it! Thanks!
@davidkastin42406 ай бұрын
Well it's about time you got one, joking 😂 I use mostly single coils and use a budget noise gate pedal. It doesn't affect my tone and quiets down any white noise from my amps besides taming the 60 cycle hum.
@GearGasms6 ай бұрын
Yeah I was always too cheap to buy one!
@90LPPlayer6 ай бұрын
First…if that EVH is THAT uncontrollable even at modest volumes and gain settings, I would consider it un-fucking-usable….why bother with an amp that noisy when there are other options out there?
@GearGasms6 ай бұрын
Because I wanted it. And it’s mostly unruly in video because it’s not meant to be sat in front of, like a librarian at story telling time. That’s why. What would you suggest as a substitute?
@90LPPlayer6 ай бұрын
That is the most unmusical sounding amp. I would never buy one after watching this video.
@GearGasms6 ай бұрын
It’s probably more due to the person playing or my mic technique than the amp.
