A front license plate wouldn't have changed anything in this case. Even after they found the correct car and it's owner, there was still no evidence that he was the driver on that night. The best piece of evidence in this case was testimony, from the lady who testified against him that she witnessed him cleaning the car, the knife, and telling her to mind her own business. Without that, even the knife containing both of their DNA might not have been enough for a conviction. Front license plates don't do anything to solve murders, all they do is help the state send you petty traffic tickets more easily.

The fact that you’re calling a mother fighting for her child “disgusting” makes YOU disgusting. Remember, this is the justice system which convicts innocent people ALL THE TIME. 1 in 20 people in prison right now are innocent. Even the most cut and dry trials come to light 20, 30 years later and the real monsters go free. I’m not saying he’s innocent or guilty, I’m just saying it’s a mother’s responsibility to fight for her children no matter what, and if in the unlikely event he is innocent, you’re the exact type of person who’d be saying “what a great mom WOW!” Daft, daft minds.

I got scammed in 2016 by a fake Uber. I just didn't know any better and was in NYC for the first time. He took me to my destination but made me pay 3x in cash what I should have paid. I was a young female, too scared to argue with him - I did at first but he got angry and wouldn't stop the car until I gave him the cash. I realize that as a young female in a stressful situation we don't always think straight in the moment, but for anyone who's ever in a similar situation you should call Uber customer service immediately (if they're an actual Uber driver) to get that driver's account suspended. If you feel threatened call 911. As soon as you get out of the car get the license plate # (even a partial could help police). One of the questions I was hoping they'd answer is how the guy got her phone away from her before she could call for help?
