Yes, and as they gathered, the dog was summons last minute; an afterthought. Bothered me, as well! It also bothered me that they all seemed to have been deer hunting, and wanted a picture of their conquest; as if Danelo were an animal they had bagged. I know he is a dangerous criminal, but he’s still human. The victims families must have been livid, when they were watching this! Terribly distasteful and disrespectful to everyone, in my thoughts. Thanks for covering this. I would like to hear your thoughts on Cavellconte’s History and how that may have influenced his connections, actions and crimes. Thank you, Dr. Grande!

The poor kids will be traumatized, for life, seeing their mother brutally murdered like that...They will need to be treated for PTSD, which doesn't just go away...This makes me think how single mothers with children need to be REALLY careful of who they date!...Any sign of violence from their partner (talking about or doing) and BE GONE STAT because it never only happens once and WILL only escalate...I know this, from experience...Thankfully, in my case, there were no children involved to witness the horrors of domestic violence...

I lived in the city before I moved to Chester County. You would never leave a door unlocked or leave your keys in your vehicle unless you wanted to become a victim. When I moved out here, my neighbor two houses away left their doors unlocked; while they were sleeping, some kids came in and walked around down stairs and stole a couple things, they then went down the road from me a couple more houses, just walked in took cars keys that were sitting on the kitchen table and took the homeowners car for a joyride and wrecked the car less than a mile down the road. There are people out there who believe bad things only happen to other people and live in a false sense of complacency.

My husband and I both grew up in communities near Los Angeles. After we got married, I insisted that he lock our doors-- even when we were home. The street he grew up on was a close knit community. Everyone knew everyone else. The lady across the street was perpetually watching everyone, so much so that my husband's family was proud of the fact that they got a new toilet and managed to conceal this fact from her. Anyway, my husband did not understand why I insisted on locking the doors all the time. In my neighborhood just a couple miles from his, we were not as close knit. One time when my mom and sister went out for a bit and left the front screen unlocked while I stayed home alone, a drunk guy just walked right in. Good thing I knew that the girl next door was having a party involving a keg, and that our houses looked so similar that even sober people could confuse them. All I had to do was tell him the party was next door, and he left our house to go return to the party. That was the only time I remember my mom leaving the screen unlocked, because it's usually safer to keep things locked.

The second thing was the rifle standing openly in the kitchen with the bullets in the drawer beside the rifle. I ask my father in law about this and he answered that no stranger would get lost in this parts. I told him that you never know who his wandering around and even can get shot with your own rifle while you are sleeping. I was 19 at the time and grew up in a town with 70000 citizens in Germany. We never locked our door but we also have different doors in Germany. You need a key to get in. It is called a safety lock.

I think law enforcement did an awesome job. They had things going against them. 1. Stolen vehicle 2. The convict is actually very small and this can help him hide. 3. He's familiar with woods. 4. I think it's difficult when you have hundreds of police officers with news media following your every move to keep a low profile. And surprise is everything 5. It was hard to use thermo detecting because of tree coverage. 6. The rain I'm sure stopped the easy tracking by dogs, etc, too 7. Dogs are better to use when capturing a convict. It's safer for all. Overall I'm 💯 sure it's a lot harder than it looks to catch a physically fit ex con. Had to share per your invitation for interesting convos. 😊

The prisoner was out of his league from the moment he left the prison. He had no money, no food, no car, no clothing aside from what he had on his back, he barely spoke English so he was doomed as an escapee. What he had on his side was athletic ability and youth which kept him going a lot longer than most.He appears to have shaven and cleaned up somewhere.

I agree 💯 in regards to the " photo op "... just poor taste all the way around and completely unprofessional"...The defensiveness /arrogance and almost hostile demeanor of the news conference's was also something I was personally unimpressed with. 🤷 What I also noticed in regards to the escapee was that he looked void of human characteristic's ...he looked hollow. Granted he was probably exhausted etc ....

I found the video and watched it because of your comment. His laughing histerically before he says it, twice, I'm sure is not something her family would think was too funny. I understand how cops say thing and laugh because of the stress of a situation, but this wasn't in the middle of the situation, it was after. His behavior is appalling.

I loved the dog comment. I've always found it interesting when law enforcement have elaborate press conferences with other officials surrounding them and take a congratulatory pat on the back by grandstanding and thanking an endless number of those officials (without whom the capture never would've happened), while bragging about all the hard work they've done when in many cases, they had absolutely nothing to do with locating a suspect. Someone else found them, a tip led them directly to the suspect, etc. Bad judgment. Touche. Edit: I'm sure this press conference won't disappoint.

Exactly. When living in a Western state recently, someone escaped from the local mental hospital and managed to steal a gun. For three hours, this looney was on the loose. After 3 minutes one second, the dude walked into a police station and turned himself in and you should have seen the back-slapping and smiles from all those involved in the "coordinated efforts to bring this dangerous criminal back to the looney bin where he belongs".

The dog handler and trainer should be thanked publicly, because without them, their dogs wouldn't know how to do what they're doing. And also: Dogs are animals, not humans. The public acknowledgement is a reward that humans appreciate. Dogs are rewarded with what they appreciate: Lots of praise, cuddles and treats by the human members of their teams. That's the kind of reward THEY understand and appreciate. I grew up around dogs. I've had three of them myself. You can trust me on this one.

Hi Dr G! Thank you!! I also live right in the middle of this off of rt 100. I believe he did know what he was doing and was very interested in creating distance for himself. There's something they really haven't talked about in the media coverage. The enterance to the PA Turnpike is right here literally on Rt 100 about 4-5 miles south of where he was captured. Billing for the turnpike is now done digitally via license plate photos and ez pass transponders, so there are no human toll collectors any longer and you wouldn't be noticed getting on the turnpike. Along that section of 100 there are concrete barriers in the center which forces you to continue in the direction you're traveling for a little while past the interchange. If you were planning to get on the turnpike and changed your mind, maybe because your stolen van was out of gas, where he ditched the van is the first semi-rural spot you would come to where you would have a good chance to hide a van and yourself. This is the final perimeter they set up after the van was reported stolen in the morning and found behind the barn up here. This is the one they finally caught him in. He was still hanging around right on Rt 100 and if had the luck and opportunity to get into another vehicle coule have been on the turnpike in 5 mins. If you study some maps, I think you'd find this very interesting. It was very unfortunate luck for him that the van he was able to steal just happened to be low on fuel. Had it not been, I'm certain another state would be taking grandstanding photo ops of their capture of him instead if they ever found him.

At least you had the guts to admit how bad it's gotten at our borders. Millions of illegals are coming to America, and nobody is doing anything about it. Only areas close to the borders are concerned. These illegals are given money and transportation to live anywhere in the United States. Many are felons. There is already too many illegals in the United States now, but in the coming years it will get much worse. It's bad enough now.
