I don't think it fits the category of a b movie. This one is silly by choise, the classic b movies are silly because they are genuinely bad, or because they had a showstring budget and no one in the production gave a f*ck. This is a fun movie, but it is made as a homage to genuine b movies and it is way to well made to fit in that category.

"What're ya gonna do with those PIES, boys?" Fun Fact: The giant "King Klown" from the ending sequence, affectionately called "Klownzilla" by the Chiodo Brothers, was actually played by one of them (Charles Chiodo). Budget Friendly Fact: The $2 Million budget went primarily on production costs. The clowns and visual effects were created almost entirely by the filmmakers at very little cost. The Klowns parts were detachable, thus creating an illusion of a large number of different Klowns. Stunt SNAFU Fact: The scene in which a car is thrown over a cliff was initially intended to be far more spectacular - the car was to fly over the cliff and crash down to the ground. Unfortunately, the sling rope snapped because the effects crew members neglected to remove the stoppers from underneath the car's wheels. The result was what is seen in the final film, the car slowly tumbles over the edge and becomes caught on a tree.

I am so glad you reacted to this one Jay, as an inspiring filmmaker, there's a big lesson I take away from this movie that even if your budget is low, your imagination shouldn't. For that reason alone is why even after 36 years, this movie has been a cult classic. Other b movies at this time or even now would spend way too much time on the characters explaining things to the audience and you seeing very little of the monsters doing said things, you don't get that with this, you get what you expect and even more. Some may look at these effects and say it's cheap but it has a charming and earnest qualitity you can't help but love, you feel the people who made this put their best efforts into it. This is also a horror movie I love where the horror doesn"t come from the immediate kills/scares but when you stop and think about the grave implications. To think there's an advance race of aliens that can bend and warp reality to their will with their sole MO being they take great pleasure in toying and killing their preys just because they can is terriyfing. Fun fact: Almost all except for one Klown have names. The one who shot the popcorn bazooka is Rudy, the one who Jason Voorhees'd the biker is Shorty, Shadow Puppetteer is Slim, the one drinking cotton candy is Chubby, and finally the klown that ain't shit and the first to die is Jumbo, just to name a few. I love seeing your reactions and to keep it up, man ✌

It still gets me to this day that people still don't know about "Frozen Dairy Desserts" and how it's not Ice Cream. Mainly how people just pick up what they think is ice cream in their grocery store's freezer section but they never read the label on carton where it clearly says "Frozen Dairy Dessert". Ice cream is made with 100% milk/cream/dairy while frozen dairy dessert item has like less than 10% dairy in it. They use stuff like like coconut oil or vegetable oil in frozen dairy desserts. Thats why they literally never melt.

When Halloween's Spooky Season comes up, I'd recommend watching Ernest Scared Stupid. It's a Halloween horror comedy classic. It stars one of my favorite actors, Jim Varney, and I watch it pretty much immediately as October starts. It's a must see movie every Halloween for me. Also, it has a connection to Killer Klowns from Outer Space. The creature effects for Ernest Scared Stupid were done by the Chiodo Brothers. The Chiodo Brothers were also the guys who wrote, directed and produced Killer Klowns from Outer Space as well as doing the practical effects and makeup. Some of the effects from Killer Klowns are actually repurposed for Ernest Scared Stupid. I think it'd make for a great and fun reaction. Perfect for the Halloween season.
