Killing Dampwood Termites! & a Solar Equipment Final Walkthrough

Hitting two topics this time with two major achievements on our last trip.
Spraying BoraCare to take out nasty Dampwood Termites and wood boring Beatles in our buildings, as well as, a final walkthrough of the Victron Solar Installation. All equipment is in and working.

Wow that was a ton of work, can you video how you setup the USB sockets? The battery balancer piece with the diagram, exactly what I needed. Nice simple generator hookup (note to self, 'rip that off' :) Now, need to be able to choke/start/stop a generator remotely. You are killin me w/that comment about video quality, total gold.

Ya, I have two more sockets to install (the wires are run but haven't installed the USBs) so I'll grab some video of those and link the devices I bought, pretty sweet, little 4 port's the fit in electrical boxes. I'll do that this coming weekend. If you buy the right generator type, the Victron system can remote start the generator and use an ATS to switch to it, just needs a different model charger and an ATS. When we build the house down the road I will do a whole home generator with auto start and switching capabilities for sure! i hope that takes care of your termite problem for me are squirrel eat my wood and wires i am trying out a product to see it makes the difference i am on week 3 and has worked. your system looks great thanks for sharing and have a great day

Termites eat plywood they also eat foam panels like the ones in your solar shed!

I saw something recently about them eating plywood fortunately we did spray the flooring plywood but I did not spray the T1-11. Maybe I will. I had no idea about the foam panels, thats crazy! Thanks for the feedback!

Looking good! We see swarms of termites with our first summer rains. I'm hoping they are the agricultural variety, that like grass and not wood. 🙂🏜️
