First. Jk I cant get enough of these weapon guides and perk guides/info Richard is always one of those youtubers you always come back to no matter how many times you watched. Edit: Hes also helped me perfect my load out and decide if i would want to buy a weapon bundle So far when i do buy them my first choice is the G18+Riot shield. I'm a SWAT/Commando main, so i like my high damage/High DPS guns. Update: I got the Riot shield+G18, i traded up for it, even got a ion thruster and all the skins as a trade up. -- Anyway Rock on Rich, keep the content coming and the zeds heads popping!

You made some very valid points (as always) so I have mixed feeling s. However, the Glocks are a must-have for some Weekly challenges and I like going for the Headpopper badge every match. I mainly play public matches so rarely do I go into a boss fight with them ESPECIALLY if I'm the only Gunslinger on the team. Plus, most of the bosses are bullet sponges. I rarely have a really good team so I always think of the worst-case scenario where I'm the last man standing and I only have pistols, but the boss' health is still at 75%. I usually hold my own for about 10 minutes and then eventually die after running through the entire map.

I enjoy using the Glock18C, not as a Gunslinger, but Survivalist. The first perk that grants reload with Commando/Swat/Gunslinger weapons is amazing; I can rock the new minigun, while keeping a Thompson Submachinegun and Glock18C in reserve.

I love the dual glocks. I play on console and to me they are pretty op! It shreds certain bosses like the patriarch allow ing me to bypass all of the stages and get a fast win when they are paired with rack em up.

If base damage is 37, actual damage is 55 considering you will keep your r"ack em up" at x5 as long as there are zeds around. Another argument in the ammo economy is that ammo pickups give 15 bullets to a hm101 and 33 to a glock, so gunslinger being the most mobile class, easily reaching those pickups gives you more potential damage that way. Auto fire also helps with charging fleshpounds, since headshots are easier to land in a panic and you need only one to slow them down and recuperate. Personal preference: t5 deagles, single glock and hm101 to whatever the budget allows.

I apologize, my first comment sounded demanding. I very much appreciate the informative video on this weapon; i only had the riot shield/G18 DLC so i was somewhat unsure if it was worth getting the G18 DLC by itself because i was considering it for dual wielding on gunslinger but it doesn’t sound too efficient taking into mind the accuracy concerns. Are you planning on making a video on the HRG incision? I just tried it out the other day but i strongly prefer the railgun instead and haven’t found any videos reviewing it.

I like the glock. Its very versatile for the gunslinger which is already a versatile perk to begin with. I bought it because it just felt so good to use. its a great trash cleaner for the single glock in my opinion but the dual is a bit too much. I even made i pretty good build of the dual magnums, a single glock both upgraded with a medic pistol upgraded twice tho i didn't even need the magnums because the single glock melts both scrakes and fleshpounds with full auto in the head with rackem up. Though i wouldn't buy it because the slinger already has some decent big zed/trash killing guns like the 1911s so theres no point to buying the dlc for them because you already have a versatile perk weapons already that are really strong

Still wish that gun slinger could get 1 extra carry weight (16 up from 15) just because if you dual wield any of the pistols you get an even number no matter what, so making the carry weight a odd number is just pure evil to my OCD.

@@flopre9213 Ah, good point. The DPS is the same (zero) during reloads whether you're at tier 4 or tier 5, so some portion of the time you won't be able to make use of the damage buff.

@@RichardDangles Thanks. I see why it's not a 12.5% DPS buff. That buff only applies to the base damage and thus the 25% damage bonus from gunslinger leveling does not get the benefit of the 1.125x multiplier applied to it.

@@RichardDangles That can't be right. The gun upgrades are not "damage bonuses", they are creating a new tier of gun with a new base damage. The formula is Damage = (Base damage * tier bonuses) * (perk damage bonuses). Everything else would be a bug. Have you tested this or have a source, or are you just assuming (like me) that is how it works?!?

1:20 "This is the lowest damage gun in the gunslinger's arsenal" The medic pistol: *Am I a joke to you?* fun fact: I actually like using a tier 2 upgraded medic pistol on Gunslinger. I like using the Berretta to take care of trash and some lower tier zeds to save on deagle ammo, but it doesn't really have much ammo in reserves, so I can't really use it how I would like. The med pistol, by contrast, does 34 damage per shot with the first upgrade, has waaay more reserve ammo, has the cheapest ammo cost of any pistol in the game (yes, even cheaper than the berretta), has a reflex sight, and can be used to heal teammates. Even without the upgrade, 20 damage isn't horribly far off from 25 damage, and with Gunslinger's headshot bonuses and buffs, I can still use it to slaughter trash just by spamming the fuck out of it. As a result, the medic pistol is one of the first pistols I buy as a gunslinger, and it stays with me nearly the whole game, and I often use it to kill clots, spiders, gorefasts, stalkers, bloats, occasionally gorefiends, and sometimes even sirens (they move so slowly that it's very easy to unload a ton of med pistol ammo into their face real fast, which prevents them from screaming effectively anyways). So, I could imagine a full auto Glock for $750 filling the same role, even as just a single pistol. It does more damage than even the tier 2 medic pistol, has a ton of ammo in both reserves and the magazine itself, and I can flip the switch to full auto instead of mashing the left mouse button. And it's not that pricey as a secondary if you consider that the med pistol is $200 and the upgrade i usually get for it is $500, bringing the price of that weapon up to $700. On the other hand, this doesn't invalidate the medic pistol either, since it has a different utility than this weapon. So, I would choose the med pistol if I think it's important that I support my team a little, and I would take the glock if I'm confident our medic has the job handled.
