Might be grubs too it could be a a couple different things… animal urine as well… put a ton of water on it for 2 weeks if nothing happens it’s something else. I usually hit the lawn with a bunch of fungicides and grub protection I never see brown “spots” just brown areas that are clearly lacking water 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾
