Is it just one head or 2 that you got for free? Just remember its not the best for seeding as the droplets are much stronger and will wash seed quite a bit. You could easily go above ground if you go in the garden bed. I would just bury the head somewhat.

I also have plans for an above/ in ground system where I run the pipe along my fence and attach it slightly above ground so I don't hit it with my trimmer and then just bury the head underground and use a flexible swing pipe to attach the supply line to the head. Was going to paint the pipe to try to camouflage it with my fence a bit. Also planned on keeping as much of it within mulch beds as I can to not have to dig up the yard and deal with roots. Can't wait to see yours!

Get a piece of plastic lattice and put it down on the coller where you're doing your turnaround, like a turnaround board. The green is definitely going to be fun.. I like to cut new grass when it's just starting to curl over and that bent grass loves to be cut short and will stimulate side growth.

I own a plumbing company in your area and do work directly for PSE and do excavation. Once all the utility lines are marked you can go ahead and dig. Just dig cautiously around any marks until you find the utility or you don't need to dig anymore for your irrigation line. But, if you are happy with the above ground, it doesn't matter.

@@YardBrah If you use 3/8"swing pipe connections on your heads...your never gonna need to repair it unless you dont blow them out for winterizing....... Swing pipe connections to sprinklers are 2-4ft whips out to sprinkler head instead of teeing off main line..... sw pipe is like independent suspensions for your heads....can run over them as many time as you want......without swing pipes the sprinkler is sittin on 1'-3/4"mainline tees.. and their clamp connections feel every ride over with weight of lawnmower.... this for lil head tho..... that reygun whole different ballpark that 1-2" PVC all way to head.....then buying 3/4"-1'" Rainbirds PVC swing pipe at head connection if want that independent suspension...

No doubt will give you a few extra ideas with regards to care, feed fert etc to get your green as good as it can be. Maaaaan, DO irrigation by yourself.. just buy hunter MP rotator sprinklers.. some hard hoses... etc.. and do it by yourself.. it is easy... :) i did my lawn 450m2 of grass + 150m2 of flowers etc.... it cost only around 1000€ (MP rotator sprinklers, sprinkler heads, hoses, valves, control unit...) :) you dont need to pay some company to do it for you.. do it by yourself :) WE TRUST YOU ! YOU CAN DO IT!!

Roots unfortunately you have to use a stump grinder… very hard to get them all. In this video the lawn was cut with a sod cutter machine. It’s a task and a half but well worth it! 😊🤙🏾

@yardbrah brother I am so happy to have found your channel. I need some serious help wish you were local lol. If you could point me in the right direction so that I can watch videos in order so I can help myself i would appreciate that. I bought my house a little over 3 years and we already suffered a house fire due to nothing we did but we just moved in and we need to renovate the outside it’s a shit show to say the least. It was already un even and with the dumpsters we had it’s worst. Previous owners filled the yard with a bunch of black sand nothing grows but weeds. I could benefit from a good amount of soil back there to bring the height up closer to the lip of the cement back there. And my front lawn aside from being uneven it’s nothing but crab grass. I need to kill it all, even it out and grow some new stuff. I need some help brother. Landscaper quotes me 3k and said we had to remove the sand and add in dirt and from watching some of your vids he’s wrong!!!

I know you said you’re staying with above-ground irrigation, but did you get a quote for just the front/sides and not the back? $8800 is wild so I get it, but maybe they knock it in half for the front/sides?
