You say you’re not good at adding a foot. The foot on your platter looks excellent and the trick on those long platters is keeping them from warping. You did a great job. Thanks for all you share and how clearly you share your techniques. I’ve gotten so much useful info from you.

I lost many platters due to warping😄😀. Thanks for watching.

Great kiln opening! I love how your cordovan/birch combos turn out, do you just do solid coats or are there some uneven stripes?
@RJMPottery9 ай бұрын
just solid and even coats

It’s always a festive day when your video is coming out, thank you🎉. Can I ask: was it an intentional “normal” cone 6 instead of a hot cone 6? And when you fire what is the speed the kiln to fire? I mean how much Celsius or F per hour? I have a new kiln, so far I fired only bisque :)
@RJMPottery9 ай бұрын
We use a Skutt Kiln in which we just program it to a cone 6 but if we want it to go to a hotter cone 6 we would add a 7 minutes hold. We use the medium speed. Getting similar glaze results would be sometimes different due to many factors such as clay body, how you apply the glaze, temperature of firing etc. It takes a lot of testing to finally figure out what works.

Love your glaze combos,so FYI, I believe that the satin patina is not food safe and should not be used inside that mug.
@RJMPottery9 ай бұрын
I am aware and never used it inside of my mugs. I use it on flower vases.

So beautifully! You get such good results. What cone do you fire to and do you use a slow cool kiln program ? Thanks you so much !
@SoulHavenPottery-gt2gf8 ай бұрын
Hi, thank you! I program for a cone 5 slow cool but my kiln is rather new so it fires hot. This load got to a cone 6.
