I feel sad for people who want plastic surgery for reasons other than correcting an injury or deformity. But I don't judge people for making that choice, I hope for good things for them, for them to be loved so much for who they are as a person they no longer worry about their physical appearance. I worked for plastic surgeons in the mid-1960s. The doctors performed miracles on children with cleft palates, burn victims, horrible industrial accidents. In those times cosmetic surgery, although it was done, was rare because of the cost and downtime. Back then a facelift required 10 days of hospitalization. I am certain that plastic surgeons today I still performing miracles.
