Keep in mind I have not seen this movie, but love the MK games. Sub Zero is a title, not a name. The Sub Zero from MK2 and 3 is Kuai Liang. I'm guessing this movie's Sub Zero is him since he also has the face scar. The Sub Zero from MK 1 is Bi Han who becomes Noob Saibot.

Listening to their opening thoughts, I am so disappointed. This is my favorite bad movie. My "The Room" if you will. I've seen it an embarrassing number of times and it never fails to put a smile on my face. "Mother...you're alive" "Too bad YOU...will die!" is comedic gold as far as terrible line delivery goes. I'm sad they didn't seem to have more fun with it.

Unless I'm mistaken Ermac actually comes from MK1 (I think) where in the debug menu (called "Game audits") "Ermacs" was written with a value, people didn't know what it meant and the menu also had a log of Reptile battles (a secret character) so people thought Ermac was another hidden characters (which leads to fakes by magazines and such) Error macro could have lead to miscolors of Sub Zero and Scorpion (idk) but the myth mostly comes from this little line afaik

For as bad as the theatrical movies are. Blessing is right. The story between 9, X, and 11 is really good. Specifically MK 11 has 1 of the best stories in a fighting game hands down. Especially with the Aftermath Expansion. Give it a chance you will be pleasantly surprised, it is like watching an actual good movie
